This was somewhat unexpected, I had some shopping plans coming up soon. I guess I'll have to hold onto my Bitcoin.
That aside, this is the direct result of the hard fork (which is unnecessary anyways) propaganda from Ver & Jihan. Not long ago, the SEC decision was a really big event. Tens of thousands of people were waiting for it that day. The negative decision was corrected (price vise) in a matter of days. The price may get even messier, but hopefully $900 holds as some sort of *bottom*. However, keep in mind the following: Segwit is going to activate, because the economy & supermajority of users are in support of it. Read the BIP 148 UASF Segwit: https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0148.mediawiki

I am still hodling guys. Even those whales unloaded 1000 coins Well I only have hobby/time/labor in ..mined my way out of any of my $$$ in coin since 2013...thus at $1 bitcoin ..I STILL WIN! (all about the ego protection and cheap coins ...in that I have no control of either....best to just be delusional with above) 1 year ago was still 25k into BTC I'd would have been freaking out thou Still sucks thou....$$$ are falling out of my broken sack ..btc price wise This was somewhat unexpected, I had some shopping plans coming up soon. I guess I'll have to hold onto my Bitcoin.

Did you manage to buy? Not yet, i have fiat money on april 1. So i still think its going to be worth it. I reduced the price damage by some ether trading. But it feels so bad to trade bitcoin for such a thing called ether.

This does not really need miners, especially not 95% as the BIP9 activation does. It sets a flag day. When this day is reached, anyone running this BIP (Bitfury is already testing it) is producing Segwit blocks and this is compatible with all >0.13.1 nodes. Did you manage to buy? There is some *sell* pressure with a minor wall now. The order book was much thinner yesterday. Bitcoin price seems just as unpredictable as it used to be.

Would just 'justify' a BU fork in my view.....thus price of $200 buck coin....would both chains recover with that 'brand name of bitcoin' hit Just saying if it was that easy ...why ask for 95% activation....for seg witness in the first place..just feel I missing the other shoe to fall ..seems too easy (hope I am wrong however)

This is only the Jihan & Ver cartel blocking consensus from forming. They can create their worthless fork, nobody wants it. Segwit is activating, with or without them.
Once this issue has been taken care of, I expect the trust & positive bull trend to continue. If everything ends up being *okay*, I expect the price above $2k in the months post activation. A lot of people are just uninformed about the real benefits of Segwit (capacity aside). This is primarily due to the propaganda lies, as found on r/btc.

I certainly hope your view is correct and my fears are not! Anyway, for now I'm just gonna go with the flow with your view (sunny fellow I am) and assume if I hold long enough it will work out....(i did hold since 2013 mining..and have nothing in the btc i own anymore but time/labor/mining) ...thus need to play the long game and liguidate some crap on ebay for more $$$$ to toss at BTC. IF BTC goes tulips its a win/win...attic is empty..easy 1k to make rec room house value goes up 10k..if btc pumps 5k of crap in there for putting on boring ebay...works also...need to get motivated...mantra cheap coin/cheap coin..to get over ebay slump of horror drudgery of putting stuff up for $$$ to get BTC argh..just pump to 2k already and I'd not be worrying about frigging 2.25k of btc in my attic in $$$ towards ebay

tulips....
Also, after watching Ethereum, where some R3 banker dirtbags and people like Digital Currency Group control the entire premine, I generally think any market where you can leverage non-existent, make believe assets is just a complete fraud by default. They can't sell because...they are the entire market...so it's an illiquid asset. So what do they do? Just use their giant premine as collateral to leverage the price higher to try and attract momentum traders to buy their toxic asset. It's an even bigger scam than selling subprime mortgage backed securities. This is why I say I hope you people bought some physical, tangible items with your moon priced bitcoins, because everything about digital currency trading and price is so heinously fraudulent (as can be seen by 0.1 btc priced darkcoins), that it's all going to come collapsing down in a big way someday. It's obviously not a store of value when nobody is even putting anything of value on the line in a lot of cases in the first place...leveraging illiquid assets...

Well, you called the dump pretty well. Bottom was $900.20. Still 0.20$ from being correct. The patterns before this dump tells us that we will have a 700$ increase from here if consolidation+bullrun happens next.

Im under the impression, this whole BUGcoin drama is just a big shady altcoin pump and etheriums last resort because Bitcoin with SW+Rootstock will make etherium obsolte.
Just enjoy the ride and hop of soon, the whole shitcoin world will collapse soon. Common Darkcoin worth 100 bugs ? Nobody uses darkcoin, blocks are 10kb or something on average.
