not too sure why there is much doom and gloom.

Sure BU is a "threat" but bitcoin has faced many threats before and in the longer run it has weathered them all fairly well.

Why is Bitcoin unlimited a threat, its just competition and bitcoin has plenty of alternatives already in operation that would be happy to take over.  The threat would be from the number of miners who would switch and prefer to support that alternate system.   I guess that part is new as most coins start from nowhere.

Will we definitely end up with 2 tokens in equal amounts on 2 addresses, price wise that just seems to suggest the price halves and value overall is the same.   Some confusion as people switch or decide which coin to hold or use but not as bad as it might appear?

I would rather they make transactions compete in fees they pay for priority.   This will then give the smallest transactions business to alt coins where it probably belongs ?    The best solution is the most natural self adjusting.   Does my opinion mean I should sell BU if I get any?
Yes, bitcoin have face a lot but come on top in the end. In my opinion BU (bitcoin unlimited) is not a threat and this will bring something call competition into the system since there is high rate of transaction fees going on in the bitcoin which could kill people thirst for bitcoin.

I don't do panic selling... i just do panic sighing. Whenever I feel like panic selling, I just remember I made a loss.... Every single time! Instead.... i just feel sad and 'wish I'd sold at xxx' without actually doing it.

There are several problems with that.

1. Ver doesn't have that much BTC.
2. If he did, he certainly doesn't have anywhere near the balls to match Loaded

Ver supposedly voted here: https://vote.bitcoin.com/arguments/bitcoin-unlimited-s-path-to-solve-bitcoin-s-scaling-issues-is-better-than-bitcoin-core-s
... for BTU.

That means he has around 20K, tops.

Because he's an idiot? First comment is his.

I'd never identify myself like that, much less in his site. But he's a moron.

No, don't do that.

Bitcoin.com is not a trustworthy site to give any identifying information.

If I had voted myself the poll would look different as well.

If we assume he has a large hand in the Dash pump, I think it's also safe to say he can get his hands on an awful lot of that knackered old BTC if he's a little short right now.

He's a little, little roach compared to the likes of Loaded. But he gets a lot of airtime.

I don't understand why would anyone do that in this space. The probabilities of ending up shot go up exponentially.

Yes. I am sure he may have a pretty large stash in ALTCOINS, worth maybe those hundred of thousands of BTC mentioned in the past, maybe he even doubled its value during the last pump of dash, but... He would need to dump those altcoins (crashing them) and rebuy BTC (pumping it) before being able to dump. Zero sum game.

He could short BTC with FIAT/ALTCOINS but.... leveraged positions are the worst place to be before a hardfork.

wow it looks like BU and the rest of those pricks are finally gonna fuck the fuck off.

thank god for that.

they caused me way more stress than they should have, though i am actually a little let down. i thought the fight would be a lot tougher than this (though it isn't over yet).

Who the fuck are they kidding? BTU would crash so badly the first day it wouldn't be even funny. It would be cringe-worthy.

I sure hope Ver fucks off soonish. If he ruined himself then so much the better, but as long as he stays away I don't give a fuck.

You only have to see the trivial bugs that have been exploited already. Just obvious asserts with no RCE possible. And even though not many people has already interest in analizing the BU code, I am sure that there is already ppl with real RCE's just waiting for the time in which MONEY could already be made.

BU is doomed already. Let's just allow Roger BUr share its fate as that's what he has publicly chosen.

From http://nodecounter.com/from_slush_to_bitcoin_com_pool.php:

"As a further note, slush seems to fail to recognize that the Bitcoin Unlimited community does support layer 2 scaling with networks such as Lightning Network and others. These are achievable with much simpler malleability fixes than Segwit (see Flexible Transactions)"

O rly? Not according to Roger, Jihan, and the entire BU community, it seems.
