Made a huge loss, set some alarms at 1950 euro's so I could take a look and sell if it was going down hard (and it did) but forgot to turn them on (its a small slider I did not know about and apparently they were off for the new alarms I made). So in the end I woke up to a 400 euro loss. What a waste  Sad

You only have a loss if you sell for less then you bought. Don't be that guy.

So kind of you, now more people can dump on you. Bubble popping. Time for a 1 year bearmarket from now on. Hardfork incoming because UASF will fail cuz it has not enough support. Look at ethereum, it had a 1 year bearmarket after it forked. Bitcoin will be no exception. Sell while you still can. Otherwise you can only blame yourself.

A first mistake was to not sell some in the 2700s, a second mistake would be to dump now or lower (in a medium to long term view). A third mistake would be to not buy if it crashes way lower, IMHO.

Normaly I'd play the HODL game but, the downward trend is still there and not stopping a far as I can see. Rather sell now with the loss, and as soon as another pump starts buy back in. Rather have a 400 loss and buy in at a lower rate than HODL till 600 loss and then try to get everything back. Made a big mistake not putting my new investing money for this month on the exchange before the weekend so also can't buy any extra coins.

Mistakes mistakes mistakes Roll Eyes Does anybody know a good alarm app? I am using bitcoin checker for android right now but you have to keep your volume up for it to work. What I want is a proper alarm that even goes off when my phone is on vibrate.

I bet the SEC watch this kind of crap and sit pretty happily back, knowing that a ETF should not be investing in Bitcoin.
I mentioned 2 days ago that is was very bubbly, now nearly $1000 lower, I think we can say it was pretty bubbly.

I don't rule anything out, it might be back at $2700 tomorrow, but this volatility is joke. It can't be classed as a serious investment, we can have fun with it, but 40% falls in a few hours without any real reason, that isn't a serious investment.

why this dump?

Don't ask people here, most of them were telling us this wasn't a bubble, and $10K was just around the corner.

If you are seriously thinking that, then it's probably time to buy - the time to short was $800 ago.

You only lose if you sell... Why sell now at the bottom? Once we get to the weekdays again we'll likely see more upwards action.

Times like this call for sound advice from the lord of bitcoin, MatTheCat:

these markets are just not to be traded

The majority who invest money in a vacuos asset like Bitcoin are certain to lose

So my plan is to look for long setups

I am hoping to walk away with other players money.

Fucking rat cocksuckers. 6 fucking BTC trade with Stop Order

I would gladly see Bitcoin die tomorrow

a cabal of vampire parasites takes its place....

Just woke up, what a mess  Shocked As expected... This is the reason why Bitcoin never will succeed. People can´t trust this. Now the media shitstorm will start all over again.

bs

btc is still a rather small asset compared to big stocks and a tiny asset compared to real world currencies.  a asset with that kind of marketcap is allowed to go -30% after it rose 50% in a matter of days.

what is it that no one complains about volatility if we go up and the day we see our first little correction in a while the whining starts?

The old system trying to maintain its power. Blockchain will succeed, bitcoin wont.
