Just comments here makes me think its over done. People worrying like its something and all it is yet again we reach a round number. We get enough consensus from that round figure to have another round of selling. It went up pretty fast imo and retracking and confirming that rise is really good for the price action overall.
Looking at the chart I just see a break of trend and the length of this trend goes back to May 30th. Just a rough guess, this significance is not high. That uptrend formed from the previous downtrend failing, sideways a couple days, confirmed that bottom then rose. All just normal action seems like.
The UK election is nothing, the overall situation with Sterling is continued weakness whoever wins. Medium term it might rise or regain its losses at least but only relative to dollar not actual value. Government continues in deficit and rates lower then inflation, poor currency just like dollar is depreciating in similar ways, Euro ditto. Japanese Yen you know thats a mess, no reason for any great rise vs bitcoin. If FIAT is weak, bitcoin is more then likely a good prospect to continue its favour with speculators. Chinese currency I dont know but its still pegged to dollar I guess.
CNY 18195 is 50% of trough to peak, I think we remain bullish medium term if we keep 17653 CNY seems a fair game pullback. Target to beat (and confirm above)- 19000CNY

TL;DR Seasteading will allow for the decentralizing of nations the same way Bitcoin decentralizes currency.
Cool. Do you know Edan Yago of Epiphyte? While not seasteading specifically, he was working on setting up an independent economic/political 'zone of opportunity' with similar social implications. He spoke at Bitcoin 2013 in San Jose. Maybe more direct is that The Seasteading Institute was also at that conference with a booth. If they had a talk, I did not notice. I spoke with them for a bit. I got one of the reps from their org set up with his first Bitcoin wallet. I do not know of him. Come to find out there are over 1000 special economic zones in the world. It is a good trend.

Edan checks out ..he was a early bitcoin fundamentalist

I think this dump is from the guy in this thread that predicted 3000 in July. He is trying to save face for his erroneous prediction if it were to happen in June.

Luke-Jr has lost his mind: While I don't agree with everything they do/have done, or their approaches, I don't consider Ethereum to be a scam.
Anything claiming to be a "decentralized currency" and then holds an IPO is obviously a scam. You can't have an IPO for something claiming to be decentralized because nobody controls the money supply of something "decentralized" by default. It's literally a 1:1 replica of the movie Wolf of Wall Street and nothing more, or the central banker model who issues currency out of thin air for their own benefit.

I think a pull back is definitely going to happen if it isn't already. I definitely didn't expect us to steamroll all the way up to $2900. Massive runs are always super exciting but the faster the run up, the less sustainable it always seems to be. I hope I'm wrong though!

Whatever happens, it is now more sustainable after this correction than if the correction didn't happen. Thinking long term I hope our way forward is always like this. I supposse noone expected we would just go through directly to $5000 in a couple months...

Damn, i missed it by a hair, but I wanted to cash out some stinky fiat anyway (sold at 2850). My girlfriend always talks about birds in the hand and doves on the roof, and i have no idea, what she`s talking about. She likes animals, i guess Hm, but i`ll wait a little . . .

Well, I kinda agree with you here r0ach. Calling Ethereum "not a scam" is kinda like calling SnapChat "not a scam". On a purely technical level you could say that SnapChat is not a scam because the product works as intended. But launching a company with a silly-premised phone app that makes literally zero money, and will never be monetized, yet IPO'ed with a $24B valuation and made the founders INSTANT multi-billionaires overnight is the very DEFINITION of SCAM in my book. In fact if I could put Evan Spiegel's photo next to the definition of "Scam Artist" in the Webster's Dictionary, I would.

I agree, just wait untill RSK is ready, Rootstock offers a much better smart contract solution than ETH.
