Bravo sir.

Personally, I like the idea that I will live longer than the US government will exist. At that point I can cash out into whatever I want to and not have to pay taxes on it.

I don't want luxury or "nice things". I want to live for hundreds of years and travel to new worlds. That will take money.

if you controlled the keys at the moment of the split then you still control the BCH

Thanks alot!

what a good start of day for you! on topic, i think a period of correction should happen after this big rise, maybe all this is due to traders on holidays who try to have fun after a couple of drinks, who knows :-)

Yeah, not to bad =) But i think i will keep them since im afraid that a central bank or some NWO entity would pump that coin instead of bitcoin and infiltrate bitmain and take it over. Thats how i would try ruin bitcoin anyways!

yeah hodl that altcoin for the commie-backed pump. but it won't ruin bitcoin, just make it stronger.

hey remember the rules
first rule of Bitcoin - always talk about Bitcoin
second rule of Bitcoin - never talk about your bitcoins

this means never put a number on your stash even if you think you are just some nym on some website

OK, thanks for rule NO.2, good one!

If you are loaded you can already renounce US citizenship and take another one, ideally in a country which does not tax foreign capital gains.

I'm also trying to get my head around my tax situation - guess its a good position to be in. I'm seeing an accountant next week.

Not much that can be done. I've looked into as many tax loopholes as I can. I even had all of the paperwork ready to create an offshore business to funnel my bitcoins through but the controlled foreign corporation rules require any foreign corporation where you own 50% of requires you to declare capital gains that the company gets immediately even if the company does not distribute it to you.

There are some companies that allow you to take out a loan on your stock options (which fixes the price) where they "hold" the stocks and you "fail to pay back the loan".

Living overseas you can withdraw $38k per year and pay zero capital gains as long as you have no other income.

Though a really good tax lawyer could probably figure something out. Tax "loopholes" are legal ways of not paying taxes that the tax legislators just haven't noticed yet.

If your accountant tells you that there's no getting around paying capital gains taxes he's really saying there's know way -he- knows of how to get around them. There is always a way especially the more money you have.

This is very bullbish:

 https: //www.forbes.shite/blahblah

bullbish a new (accidental?) meme? bullish with a top note of tulip bulbs? when the msm can't bitcoin

Not accidental... but yeah, it could be used to refer to not only comparisons with tulip bulbs but also any type of disinformed attack/comparison that use silly references to unrelated subjects trying to imply we are in a maniac bubble. And any time those type of attacks come is when Bitcoin is more Bullish than ever.

Bubblish could also do it.

Politicians really are the stupidest of humans.

You go to all that trouble to amass a fortune.

And then you declare it?

Where's my wrench? We're going down Kiev way.

Oh yesss, you do in fact declare it if you ever want to buy nice things with them like: Cars, Real State and almost everything that can't be bought with cash.

Ugh I hate it when people as me how many coins I have, I don't want to be rude so I just ask them exactly how much money they have in their bank account - that normally makes them realise what they're asking  Cheesy

I would have less problem telling how much money I do have in the banks than telling my exact total Bitcoin number. And I do have more money in the banks than in Bitcoin total value. Not much more though... and at this rate it could be this year that it is surpassed. Yes, I have been a FIAT hodler all my life. HOw stupid I realise now.

Why? Because if I tell my number of Bitcoins, when they are 10x from now, they will know how rich I am Smiley

And what if it does a 100x? Eh? then what?

My banking fiat, on the other hand, it won't probably ever rise up in value.

To those early adopters with thousands of bitcoin and who are now feeling suddenly nouveau riche.

The future world needs new oligarchs, but oligarchs of a different kind of mindset. Not the robber barons of old that have completely pillaged and destroyed the world of today.

If you want to see this change happen, you need to have a plan to preserve your wealth for your future generations, and start instilling the new mindset in them early. Write a manifesto, leave it to your heirs along with your leftover wealth and a plan to both preserve it and use/wield it wisely in the future.

This is your destiny and will become your legacy.

Yep. When someone have enough money he can do some things. ie: You cash out your first couple of millions, and pay taxes on them. With that money buy a residence in some tax heaven place. Monaco is expensive but a great option if you can afford it. Now you can keep cashing the rest without worries.
