Have any of you been following Ryan X Charles on youtube?
He's been vlogging daily (up until 4 days ago anyway) about segwit, BCH, upcoming forks etc.

Yes, I thought his analysis of Bitcoin capacity was really interesting:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhJxZ6VHDkU

He seems like one of the good guys.

Bitcoin Market Share/Dominance: 49.6% and up... Soon 50% (not even counting its bastard son BCH).

About the cars... I have always think the sweet spot from an spending perspective is to buy used with around 3 years for less than HALF the price of new. At least in my country.

Also, you can get pretty decent cars (slightly used) for the cost of a new "boring" one. My current one I bought used for 25K. Several years after it is still almost like new as I use it very little and I don't think I have lost more than around 1K a year in price. Of course not a good "investment"... but neither a crazy spending.

Even with my high net worth I bought an 1800 dollar car. Cars are bad investments unless you are trying to get some sort of business clients by displaying your wealth so that they will invest their money in you. Or to get a mate.
I'd have to agree. If you want a good Porsche I'd recommend the 928S myself, nice solid cars that have 300+HP under 10k. 911's are nice (I had an E for a number of years) but their prices are kind of silly at this point. Or a Boxter, they go pretty cheap and aren't bad....

I recently wrecked my car in a nasty head on collision. That's my 2nd totaled sport sedan in less than 3 years.
I'm thinking to get a used behemoth of some sort now, like a Suburban.

That being said, my first car out of college was a 1980 911 Carrera targa so I understand the desire. It is a fun car. Paid 10k for it. Paid much more than that in repair bills over the 5 years I had it.

I had a '91 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 once. AWD, Twin turbo, 320hp stock. Car was heavy but it would haul ass. The coolest feature was it had both a front lip spoiler and a rear spoiler that would tilt down when you hit 50 mph, and the rear wheels would flex in the curves. I bought it used and had it 5 years.... sold it for $3K more than I originally bought it for, lol.
Galant VR4 was my first car. Paid 4k for it and daily drove it for a few years. Its off the road as a project car now, with the goal to hit 600hp. I've been doing all the work myself, but I've poured way more money into it than bitcoin. Had it had been the other way around, I could have a Veyron now, but it is the journey that counts.

Thankfully not this time. Just sore back, neck, and ribs for me. Cars are remarkably safe nowadays!

I drive an 100% EV, bought from bitcoin earnings. Can never go back to old tech cars. EV's are the best.

Bought when the price halved from the $1200 peak in 2013 to $600. Created this account when 2015 was far into the future. Bought some more on the way down to $200. hodling worked out for me. Bought one more at the $1000 dip, which was only march _this_ year. Bitcoin is anything but boring.

Average Joe just got interested in Bitcoin this week.  I suspect we will be bobbing up and down around 4k for the coming week until new money hits the exchanges. Then.... it will get real interesting.
