1st rule of ANY stock-type item is that past performance is NEVER indicative of future performance.  It doesn't matter what the eff BCT did in the past. That has no bearing on its future.

This is a myth.

The prices are made by traders and their decisions are influenced by looking at the orderbook, looking at historic prices, looking at indicators, looking at chart patterns, reading forum posts, trying to extrapolate what other traders might think when confronted with all this and most importantly by listening to their own beliefs, dreams, hopes and fears and all that is strongly influenced by past performance.

Who said yesterday that fiat in Gox's order book was "actually increasing"?

It's going down steadily, at a rate of $1M less each 2/3 days.

At Bitstamp we have only $935k ATM, which is less than we had one week ago (aprox. $1.05M).

Where's the fiat going? Profit taking? Bears crapping their pants?

Good. Cheaper coins for the rest of us.

I remember fiat being at 23-24 millions few weeks ago

My speculation for the next few days - a slow rise back up to just above 130, followed by a large dump and drop down to 126/127 Tongue

and bitcoin24 2.0 looks very promising... they even have a picture of a hot girl, who, if you look closely, may well be hotter than the gox lady ... clearly bitcoin is going up

https://twitter.com/Bitcoin24com/status/339859782972354561/photo/1

on a more serious note, I think the gradual turn around of the bitcoin24 episode is some pretty great news all round for BTC is it not?

Bitcoin24 released funds bump? Get ready for the ride Cool

Or maybe all those people will be saying "Oh no, an evil socialist government shut down my exchange, I finally got my money back so I can leave bitcoin for good! It is doomed! I am going to give up and let the terrorists win. Fiat 4Ever!"

How much faith do you have in the BTC-24 victims?  Grin Grin Grin

Hopefully more faith than you have in the U.S. Dollar:

U.S Monetary base looking mighty bullish Roll Eyes

This money is going home. It will hug with owners. They miss each other very much.

It would be more problematic, if there are any bitcoins there.
