It is, sideways trading for a while at this level would be a great spot too build some support at. :-) Once you look at order books, 11K 12K 13K+ are very thing right now.
I hope so. Got used to the excitement of the recent rise and now want more! This thing's addictive! But you're right, better slow and steady. We don't just want to rise up, we want to stay up. I found more upcoming forks. here is a list of coming forks I know of:
Nov 25, 2017 - Bitcoin Diamond (#BTD) Dec 17, 2017 - Super Bitcoin (#SBTC) Jan 2, 2018 - Bitcoin Cash Plus (#BCP) Jan 28, 2018 - B2X reattempt by the community (#B2X)
Oh no, not again! I've heard about Diamond, but the rest I was not aware of. I don't mind free coins, but I hate the hassle of messing with my recovery seeds, with all the risks that such actions entail. I really like TREZOR's approach of safely splitting forked coins without having to change seeds or risking your BTC, but I very much doubt that the coins you list will be supported by TREZOR anytime soon, if at all.

I wonder how many bitcoin hodlers will have an extra fun time while going to work today/tomorrow. this is nothing short of historic, and every hodler will walk with pride because every hodler was damn right all along.
so the hodlers will be very confident and on the the other hand very distracted with that strong urge to check the charts.
bosses will not like that. especially the non-hodling bosses (=majority)
imagining the following scenarios:
boss sees you checking the charts, and once and for all has enough of this shit, yells at you and wants to fire you. now, before you react, check your stash:
<100 btc: smile, say you are sorry and try to keep the job for another year or so. at most. 100-1000 btc: tell your boss that you wanted to quit anyway, shake hands, farewell & goodbye. >1000 btc: tell your boss you will buy the fucking company and take his seat.
I'm in the early second group (or was) and I'm going to have to quit work because: -My boss doesnt LEt me check the charts and I'm losing money on trades -My boss is being an asshole -Its a sick building and my health has deteriorated. (Its almost like BTC has saved my life) -I have insomnia now (thanks bitcoin) -I might want to try writing my own software. I just have to wait on a couple more fiat checks to clear.

Is the only way to get your Bitcoin Gold to use Coinomi. Is there not a web wallet like Electron Cash but for Mac?
there is this option: https://blog.trezor.io/claim-bitcoin-gold-bgold-btg-f66969e7f2c0I can say trezor is a very safe and convenient device. I recommend it as a good hardware wallet.

Ok. Going back to sleep, will go to work in a few hours for lulz.
Wouldn't it be weird to work just to pay the taxes on all your bitcoin profits?
amazing you said that... I've been having 100% of my paycheck taken out in taxes since september in order to cover capital gains taxes this year Sigg

I used to think he was a dick & all his take over attempts pissed me off but BCH was the best air drop ever. Free money for fuck all.
I don't find him as a dislikeable character and I can't say I'm pissed with BCH because it was a clean split / launched as an altcoin in a sense - with an 8mb twist, which is similar to other parameter tweaking that altcoins typically have. That's unlike the classic/xt/s2x bullshit... But he certainly appears pretty nervous in that interview, he probably lost quite a lot of BTC trying to pump BCH - so the emotional and financial investment is starting to eat him from inside, he can't even stand people saying bcash and takes it ...personally. As for BCH, the free money from the airdrop was an added bonus, and it also enlightened me on the aspect of price-perception scaling[1]: price was, and still is, suppressed by the "impression" of an arbitrarily high number of $$$ "per share" due to the 21mn coin limit. And it was proven as suppressed due to the btc+forks sum easily having more combined value than btc alone, when this should not be the case. amazing you said that... I've been having 100% of my paycheck taken out in taxes since september in order to cover capital gains taxes this year Hot tip: consider making an in-kind donation of BTC to your favorite charity. In-kind donations give you the usual deduction, but also don't count as a capital gain (b/c you never sold or traded it - just gave it away). This means if you have, say, 10BTC you want to liquidate, you can sell 5BTC and donate 5BTC, and the deductions from the donated part will cancel out the tax burden of the sold part. (Of course it's a little more complicated than that due to the IRS's reporting requirements for in-kind donations of weird stuff. IANACPA, talk to yours, etc.)
