So let me get this straight. There's no stopping this train. Is this a fair assessment of the situation?

Do you guys think I should redo the poll, or let it stand?

P.S.
Prices on the Korean exchanges are approaching $20,000.

The month isn't over yet.  Let it stand.

Any news about the CFTC's decision on possible ban of bitcoin futures? https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/07/bitcoin-futures-push-back-by-wall-street-banks.html

This is a tough one because as I understand it, the CFTC is not allowed to block a future created under the self-certification rules.  That’s what “self-certification” means. The CFTC has already said their hands are tied.

However if a ban was imposed, I think we can all look forward to a face melting crash.

Either unemployment skyrockets, in the worst case causing extreme poverty and eventually riots/revolution. Or everyone agrees to lower weekly working hours and shares the income like that (which also means that wages for sure need to go up). Or some sort of UBI is implemented, so no one if forced into poverty.

The problem is that humans are breeding machines. So if you pay people just to exist, you end up with a population problem which is not pleasant to have to take other means to control. The good news is that education tends to lower reproductive rates. The bad news is that if you're paying people just for breathing (and breeding), what incentive is there to get an education?

Evening all. Cheesy

Well look who the cat dragged in. Greetings.

We've missed you and Buddy. Buddy must look a lot different with today's prices.

I guess I should head over there more often and see how you, Buddy an Adam are doing. My bad.

Hopefully we're all a lot richer. Cheers.

What could a potential correction bring us to?  I think most of us agree that we're due for one but for those of us that have been here long enough, bitcoin "crashing to 10k" would sound like a pipe dream a couple years ago.

I'm wandering...who's going to buy bitcoin at a million and thinks it's a good price?

Celebrities, politicians, wealthy elite banksters, mafia leaders, drug lords, kings and queens, Warren Buffett, and finally....

Jamie Dimon.
