I would never own an all-EV car that didn't have a multi-year tried and true, road-tested battery system that I could rely on for at least 8-10 years... otherwise...

EV batteries grows 33% every 3 years.
"normal EV" in the 30 000 USD price range.

if you buy it, sell it after 2 years.

“The volatility in my view is a positive because it generates news, it gets more people involved and the more volatile it is the valuable,” said Hayes.

Global Bitcoin prices on Thursday whizzed past the $16000 mark while in Zimbabwe the crypto-currency was trading at a price of about $26000 owing to a liquidity and forex crunch in the southern African country.

Hayes said Bitcoin futures traders would be “fully hedged” as prices continue to rise although he cautioned that any asset class that “has gone 12x in one year could possibly be very dangerous” owing to speculation.

Near 45% valuation in Bittrex.

I hope it reaches 1/12 of a bitcoin. At least that was the historical value of silver in relation to gold, and if it is to be "digital silver", so it must rise to that value.

Porsches are fun I have owned a few and never regretted the purchase at all. Just don't buy a boat God forbid:)

Why not?

Oh no, don´t start with "boats".  Thats an endless story !

Boats are awesome. The trick is to buy the right boat for your personal needs. And the only way to find that is to go through a few of them.

I started with a motor sailer. Neither motor boat nor real sail boat, it handles like a brick but is a way to figure out if you like free (but slow), or fast (but comparatively expensive) locomotion. Tip: Check fuel use before you buy, not after. Don't wanna get a nasty surprise.

Currently fixing up a sleek and really cool looking motor boat, smaller than the first boat but still large enough for living on for a few weeks at a time. Also planning to get a small sail boat, as in small enough to hoist the mast singlehandedly, just for the hell of it.

Here's a wild firstworldproblem.  I'm torn.  On one hand, I have ALWAYS wanted a Ferrari.  Here I am able to buy one, something I never thought would happen.  I could sell now, get my ferrari and be happy.  On the other hand, I could hodl, it could either go up or down.  If it goes down, I feel satisfied with my choice.  If it goes up, I will feel some regret but fuck it, I have a god damn ferrari.  I have a house and no debt, perhaps I'm just being greedy at this point and should get the one thing I've wanted and be happy with it.  Fucking wild decision I never thought I'd even have to make.
Main problem is maintenance. You can buy the Ferrari, but can you afford the time/parts/etc to maintain it? They can be finicky.

Thus you need to make enough to support it. Other cars may have a lower maintenance cost and have benefits like being able to live in them when times are bad (see my posts on my homeless friend who lived in his Maybach).

C

Linki, please.

Either way, what are you talking about ? My goal is, to smash this Maybach into a wall, and walk away like i just let a fart . . .  Smiley

Just lease it, why bother with maintenance costs?

speed and such are great, but man, i have to imagine there's nothing like sailing... especially in a smaller craft that can really haul when the wind is right.

realistically though, i rarely care to leave the house, preferring to make stuff, read, games, etc... so owning a boat seems wasteful. now renting one for a month's vacation or something... hmm.

A very late good morning Bitcoinland.

Seems we finally got our real correction, down $3k and bounced back up $1.5k... currently $15523USD/$19977CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Alts recovering slightly... old coins currently worth $17241USD/$22211CAD (Coinmarketcap).

A little consolidation sideways certainly wouldn't hurt at this point. After the wild ride the last few days, I don't mind waiting a couple more days for another ATH.

Go Bitcoin go.

Hey Tera

Remind me, what was the bottom before that rally?
It was $2.

$265/$2 = 132.5

$17171 / $152.4 = 112.6

Almost there

Fair enough.  If we assume that the top is in and extrapolate the subsequent low as 35x the start price (same ratio of $2 -> $70), then that gives us 35 x 112.6 = $3941.   That is still a healthy price and any long term hodlers would be well in profit.   My original strategy actually assumed this sort of outcome as it allowed me a further period to accumulate before a subsequent lift.

However this time something seems to have snapped. I am seeing people all around me buying bitcoin.  And they are also going into it with a long term mentality.   So I think the above model is highly unlikely. But if we did, I would be completely comfortable with it.

Isn't that sad when you realize that you won't be able to afford more than a fraction of one btc with those forks anymore? Sad
