You know how in June/July the price just kept mysteriously moving up, but no one could figure out why? Then in Nov out of the blue we get news that Futures are coming online in December and price is suddenly 6X higher than it was in June/July?
Yeah, that's the way announcement of Bitcoin ETFs will happen too. People would be wise to start accumulating bitcoin now. Not being an insider, what is being planned today you won't find out about for another 6-8 months when it actually launches.

A solution to double-spends is to introduce a trusted central authority, or mint, that checks every transaction for double spending. -Satoshi Nakamoto
The central bank must be trusted. -Satoshi Nakamoto LOL Yep that Satoshi sure knows all about central authorities and trusted banks. Yes Sirree Bob. Edit: Then there's the importance of limiting access to source code and dealing with rogue nodes: Software Development
Bitcoin source code being available for everybody, including malicious parties, naturally causes security problems. Solution would be to restrict access to source code to specialists, who would control Bitcoin development and ensure all problems with network are being resolved fast and with least possible downtime, providing cryptographically signed software updates to all banks and end-users. This ensures the code have not been tampered with additionally measures can be deployed to detect participants using unauthorized modifications to client, endangering the network. The government will also be issuing licenses for banks to run node software, protecting the users from rogue nodes.

I am not so sure ETF 's will happen soon. That would mean no way back, honeybadger would be an officially recognized asset. (Which is two classes above futures). But as unhappy I am with this futures casino, double more happy I would be if ETF 's saw the light... .

Six months ago, no one thought a Bitcoin futures market would launch and be a thing. And yet here we are. I'm willing to bet that serious discussions around Bitcoin ETFs is already happening as we speak, in order to prep for launch in 2018. In fact, COIN is ready to go and has been since March. All they need is the green light from the SEC. https://www.coindesk.com/new-bitcoin-etf-filings-follow-cboe-futures-debut/

If banks collapse so will bitcoin because as of now bitcoin is supported 95% by fat wires of speculative fiat to exchanges from banks and their fractional reserve loan system which creates imaginary assets and wealth for people to invest. Once the superhighways of fiat are shutdown nobody will even have any money to invest and there will not be a hand to hand bartering economy with bit coin that supports these price levels. The adoption is not there yet. So don't hope on banks to collapse.

Is a new fork? where can i sell it? I think it's a joke, if the quotes brought forth are accurate. Of course, so are several of the others, and it hasn't made them worthless... Greater Fools, Free Money, and all that.

Well, nothing to worry about because banks are not going to collapse anytime soon. "They" can't and won't let that happen no matter what.

Helicopter money for the masses poor bitcoiners! I should never have moved my coins to Trezor. I was nimble with the bcash drop. Ever since I went hardware wallet I feel like I'm stuck in line. Why so? On the contrary I have found claiming forks with my hardware wallets makes it very easy. I do use the Ledger nano though. ANyway, I am not claiming the recent forks any time soon. With current fees I don't feel like moving all the addresses for EACH fork and also all that shit seems to rise price after the first waves of fast sellers are done. No hurry. When the time comes I will do them all at once. It's free money so what's to lose.
