What if I woke up from a 1 year nap since the price was 1K, hadn't checked the price yet, and thought 'wow I'm really bullish. I think it should rally 500% and be worth $5K.' Would that be bearish?

Bitcorn prices are moving in the wrong direction.

WTF ?!

Nope, corn is rising! Smiley ... Many whales sold in anticipation before 20,102$ ( or 20.000$ ), just because it was expected to be a psychological barrier or thresHODL! Smiley

Also, we need more cold storage 4Life Hodlers! Smiley  ... Plus.. the banksters don't want the sheeple to get in on the action or even other competitor banks, so the price will definitely not fall no matter what. Cheesy Cheesy

I think they are bots... when they see the price go down 1% they use some kind of bear protocol that throws random made up stuff and unlikely TAs. The kwuckduck protocol

I wish proudhon wasn't right, again. He's always correct though, just look at the data. Not looking forward to the epic crash to zero that is coming soon.  Cry

I also wish he would give trolling lessons to TERA2, jbreher, realr0ach, and some of the others. They could learn so much from him.

Also, we need more cold storage 4Life Hodlers!

Why would you be a hodler for life when it's inevitable bitcoin eventually implodes from something like complete centralization, failure to scale, govts outlawing it, a break in it's cryptography, etc?  Just treat it for what it is, a continuous pump and dump you might make or lose money on.  It's definitely not safe to "hodl bitcoin for life".  If you want to be your own banker and hodl something that's actually safe, then you would want silver or gold. Bitcoin is for gamblers, not hodlers.  Each bitcoin you add to the stack just adds more risk, defeating the entire purpose of hodling, unlike hodling silver or gold.

Nah. I'd rather treat it as the multi-year, continuous, pump-and-pump that I haven't lost a dime on, thanks.

I've never heard of a "pump and pump" before.  Do we need to go track down MatTheCat for proof that the dumps always come after the pump to obliterate someone?

Does this mean we can't pump the price back up with memes like we always do?

Must be a globalist imgur conspiracy.

Snippet from today’s Financial Times (UK):

Quote
Regulatory filings show that VanEck and Rex ETFs, which withdrew earlier applications after the SEC’s ruling on the Winklevoss Bitcoin Trust, refiled to launch bitcoin futures-based ETFs this month. Direxion Investments registered a bitcoin ETF on Friday. The providers declined to comment because of regulatory restrictions.

With Direxion, people are probably going to get rekt with some inverse (bear) 3x (leverage) BTC fund though.  Probably going to break record for a listed ETF going to zero (or splitting).   Roll Eyes

Also, it takes a while for crowds used to buy-low-sell-high and pump-and-dump in CB dominated inflationary world to figure out that with deflationary currency, it's all pump-and-pump and sell-high-and-buyback-even-higher as people hoard it to oblivion.

looking back at the last 10 days we can clearly see the bubble popping and the first good attempt at catching the resulting knife.

you can see that when the bubble popped at ~266$ their was a big dip in price without much volume ( everyone let the knife fall  )
but now at 80-50$ rang we are seeing HUGE volume spikes when their is any kind of movement up or down.
I think if we are not already at bottom, its not too far down...

What currency are you talking in? 266? 80-50?

Wait... 266...why do I feel like that's a familiar number?

I'm confused as well?  Huh A 65-80% drop would put us in the 4k to 7k range. 18k would be nowhere near the bottom.
