Jimbo on a rampage with forum bug. Annoying as phuque. Kept going to cloudflare, kept retrying, kept getting that annoying "another reply has been posted you may wish to review" message, finally find out I'd posted the same message a half dozen times. I then wasted almost as much time deleting the extraneous messages. Perhaps Theymos should consider disabling that annoying message during DDoS attacks or other periods of stress on the servers.

Most of the traders are too emotional to make a real profit. The only way to prevent the bankruptcy is to learn to hodl. The usual scenario is like this: 1. Buy Bitcoin. 2. Bitcoin doesn't rise. 3. Some altcoin rises 50-100-300---% in 2-3 days. 4. What to do, what to do.. Ok let's sell the bitcoins with 10-30% loss. 5. Now let's buy altcoins 1,2, 3,... 6. Yupee, they rise 10%! I'm rich! 7. Oh, no!! They lose 10-20% in several minutes! I can't sell because the exchange is broken! 8. Finally, exchange is working. I'll wait to get back where I bought it. 9. Oh, no! Alts lose another 50-80%!!! 10. Ok, let's sell now! 11. Look, Bitcoin is 20% above the last ATH and 50% above I sold it! 12. I'll wait for the big crash to buy it again. In the meantime I will spread FUD in the forum. 13. Finally, Bitcoin is 10% less than the previous ATH but 100% above where I sold it! 14. Let's buy now. 14. Oh, no! Bitcoin is down 10% again. Go to step 3. Rinse and repeat.
Balance at the end of the year:0
thats so true . hold has worked for me so far Holding of bitcoin is the best but the reason behind the current dip in price is cause by the act of bitcoin trader been too emotional . The reason behind it was the S.Korean exchange been hacked twice while the N.Korea were accused by the US government of been behind the Ransonware that occur this year.

So much. So many people approaching me asking about altcoins ("it's rising so fast and much better because x,y,z bla") just to come back to me a week later telling me that they bought back into BTC. I've got a different dilemma. I started out all BTC. Then I added 10% LTC which promptly fell to less than 1% during the 2014-2016 drought. So pitiful I couldn't even be bothered to sell. Then holy shit the chikun arose and now miraculously makes up 20% of my stash! Meanwhile, during the clone wars, airdrops and forks started appearing left and right... Lumens, Byteball, Bitcore, BeeeeeCash, BitGold, popping up like arcade games bonuses, pew pew! I ditched all the shitforks, but the shitalts I diversified just for giggles, representing less than 1% of my stash. But now these shitalts are worth like 5% of my stash and growing. Together with LTC, we're talking 25% of my stash! Every time I think, ok NOW is the time to convert to BTC, the pile of shit keeps just keeps growing! I've got total decision paralysis over this. Sell the shit, keep the shit, sell the shit, keep the shit?!? Meanwhile, the pile of shit has become sentient and starting to talk back to me and has even possessed Brian Kelly, who's screaming buy the shit, buy the shit!!! Holy mother, who's next, Jim Cramer? Booyah!

^^^^^ Nailed it. Shitcoins are a profit-taking machine.
'Many will enter; few will win' BTC.org gerbil-wheel meter indicates market major bullishness. Site is laggy to point of timeouts.

I think it may be time for some retaliation attacks against Wu and Antpool who have demonstrably become malicious miners, attacking the bitcoin network. They are withholding blocks, spamming the network to drive up fees and being a general nuisance to the point that if they were excluded from the mining network it would do more good than harm to bitcoin. They are doing everything in their power to subvert the network, without performing the 51% attack which they may actually be capable of. https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin/In short, someone needs to fuck these guys over seriously. It's well past time. Agreed, but how? Do you have any hints for would-be avengers?

Long time no see bro. We were wondering if you were ok. Some of us made sporadic attempts to keep your bullish news thread alive. Welcome back. My dear Canadian friend, I've missed you so much along with our bullish friends as well. I've been drowning into the crypto twitter land for a while along with IRL issues but it seems I will be back to our lovely home again. Yup, I've seen the thread, thank you and for all who tried to awake the thread again, I will probably start posting in it again, much much appreciated. Wish you all the best and as always, lets keep HODLING, we ain't seen anything yet
