What ended up on that US Senate discussion?
I second this. Can someone wrap it up. The building my office was in burned down yesterday (~10-15 BTC in casascius coins lost in the fire, among other things)... so I wasn't able to follow.

Bitstamp is now Bearstamp because of this: Dear Bitstamp clients,
We are currently experiencing some problems with our banking software. As a result, deposits and withdrawals may be delayed. We expect this issue to be solved be resolved tomorrow or the next day.
We kindly ask our customers with pending transfers to remain patient and refrain from submitting additional support tickets on the matter. We will announce as soon as this issue gets resolved.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards, The Bitstamp team When did you receive this email? Was that today? They posted it on the webiste: https://www.bitstamp.net/article/banking-software-issues/ (on 18th Nov.) Is no money getting into Stamp right now or just some people's?

PS: -CHOO CHOO MF...

Sorry to hear that molecular. Hope no paper wallets were damaged or any substantial sums (mind you 15 btc is now a substantial sum)! As for the hearing I would highly recommend listening to the whole thing. I have yet to see a summary of it that does not say more about the paradigm through which the listener was hearing it than the things that were actually said!

I like how a whole building burned down, and the primary concern is the Casascius bitcoins They weren't series 1, were they?

Sorry to hear that, molecular. Somehow crazy things end up happening during these moonshoots. Maybe someone there was watching the price and left a burner on a cig fell out of their hand or something.

As opposed to the States or Europe, the Chines can actually build (and have built) high speed trains.

with a 60% arbitrage i guess some serious people will look into possibilities to get into all 4 big exchanges simultanously
btcchina has not been reachable for me for 5 days. goxbux are an issue of its own. What do you mean by "not reachable"? I just traded on it yesterday. How hard is it to open a Chinese bank account ?? Or are you chinese?

Well, there was 1 series 1 coin and no: the coins are not our primary concern. Primary concern for us is getting the business back up to operational status and getting the work done (that incidentally didn't burn down for some reason, meh). There have also been people living there and other businesses with much inventory. So we we're probably one of the people hit least hard in this event. This burned down, too (cointaining the 2011 coin): but enough mourning... CHOOO CHOOO MOTHERFUCKER!

Seems to be a bit of resistance at this price, struggling to go higher. Usually when I go to sleep the Shanghai dragon takes over and we've gone up $60 over night.
