Milestones are flying in now, its difficult to keep up...btc-e just broke 800USD...if this isn't parabolic, then I'd like to know what is? My question is when will investors take profits - one of the 'rules' of investment is to set your profit mark and then take it (don't get greedy)...so at what point are the coins, off the order book and on the side, going to be released letting pressure out of the market. How big a car/house/fortune do the early early-adopters want

It took 6 minutes from Gox breaking 850 to breaking 900.
Major correction before 1000 or just a quick dip and onward up?

I don't see how we don't have another "bubble pop" with this parabolic rise, but I'm starting to think it might not be till ~$2k, and probably only a brief flash crash. So much risk associated with gov't seems to have gone up in smoke today. That's huge.
You're right. What do you think a positive regulatory environment is worth, on a per-coin basis? Regulatory pressure was, and still is, the biggest threat I think. That anxiety has certainly diminished quite a bit in the last 48 hours. That's what's interesting and unique about this parabolic rise. Would we have gone parabolic if this "hearing", and surrounding commentary, never occurred? It's not a true parabolic rise in a vacuum. Going back to regulation, I think it would be difficult to think of a better dynamic that could exist today, than the fact that China has jumped into the fray. This makes it that much more risky for the US gov't to attempt to restrict innovation at home. After all, "the competition has adopted Bitcoin". A sort of financial arms race may be in the brewing. Just been watching fiatleaks money flow - showing no bitcoins into CNY - but lots into USD... Just wondering are the Chinese somehow buying in USD and selling in CNY?http://fiatleak.com/Is it just no data? Anyone tell me what's up - maybe take a look? EDIT: I mean CNY into BTC - late evening here! Yes, there is a notable Chinese population in Vancouver, and I have been told they are buying XBT and selling in China, still something is driving demand, (may be Pump and Dump with a lot of energy) . And looking at CaVirtex I'm sure lots of the coins moving to China are coming from Canada. Fiatleak shows NO CNY, but EUR and USD a hell of a lot - looks odd, very odd.... It ain't slowing down - people are selling into it, but I can't see the incoming slowing - bumpy ride in progress, but hold tight!

Lol! Suddenly everyone including my sister are asking me if they should put some money in 'this bitcoin thing' I live in a major US city and work with many business, accounting, and IT types. Over the years not a single one has asked me about bitcoin, even after I mention it a few times. Today I asked a client who works with investments, a younger guy too, if he'd ever heard of bitcoin. He asked if it was a band. We still have a loooooooooooooong way to go.
