Fast coins are worth more than cheap coins.  Exchange coins are slow coins.  How long does it take to move money to the exchange, and how many % have you lost in that time in the current market environment... 100%?
Big premium on OTC.

No kidding. Still waiting since October for my fiat to reach Virtex.

In the meantime, I've done okay on the 10 coins I bought OTC last week

Bitstamp working for me now.. Really slow though, so I guess it just needs some time to come back up.

My wife wants to spend my coins  Embarrassed

Spoil her a bit! Cause for celebration all this.

I know I'll be in the dog house if I don't spoil my gf, lest she force me to choose between her and bitcoin!

Are you European? Is that comma supposed to be a decimal point?

 Smiley

Well I am - but no, just time-shifting.  We all know there will come a day when $10K a coin is cheap Smiley

My wife wants to spend my coins  Embarrassed

Give her 1 BTC, tell her to reinvest and  that she can go crazy on the earnings.

She'll probably appreciate BTC more after she comes back with 0.

Don't get me started on the wife. Mine shouted at me last night saying 'Was I not aware of the 50/50 strategy?' It was a bit of a wtf moment for me, didn't realize I was married to Michael Douglas.

My wife was annoyed at me for a long time because I didn't sell everything at $32 in 2011.

Amen. That's why I hoard.

I hope I never have to sell until selling a few thousand satoshis will cover the month's expenses.

I was a little upset that we sold a few yesterday, even though we sold pretty high.  We had to put new tires on our car though.  I told my husband, "You know how expensive those tires are going to be now that we used Bitcoin to buy them right?"  I have begun to think of BTC relative to what the coins will be worth in a couple of years and I am turning into a bigger hoarder of them then my husband!

I have also tried to daytrade, against hubby's wishes.  I have not gained any coin doing that and I have lost a a little so I guess he is right in that.

All that said, can you convince your wife is she holds out a little longer that she can get 10X or more the shopping power?  Think $1000 gift card to the mall instead of $100 if she just waits a year or two?  Patience is important in Bitcoin.  Grin
