So say BTC becomes THE global/national currency. For shits and giggles, what do you think that would put the price at? Additionally, those who hold over 1kBTC (which is a solid handful) would have such an influence on our economies. I don't want to discredit anyone who was an early adopter of bitcoin...but if the above was to come true, wouldnt you be worried about the power some of these people hold?

I think overall the new Bitcoin rich will be better than the existing rich, but I'm positively terrified that with all the nutjob libertarian types that congregate around Bitcoin, that we'll end up with the Koch Brothers 2.0.
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

my fear is the bank ceo's have probably bought bitcoin.  I think it would have been cool if us people who hold the bitcoin (or bitcoin miners) could check the buyers facebook to see if they are of good character to become rich like cool and friendly and not a banker.

Nice to be back, I did a little day trip to beautiful small mountain town called Ronda. So seems like we are going higher and rpietila still try's to talk crash here =) Well let bears be bears. Nice to see some real buying, been a bit quiet lately. When we break 1000 USD, there will be major media coverage. $999 is maybe a bit expensive while $1001 is cheap coins.

rptilia never replies to pm's and he didnt reply to my post asking him about it so as much as he smiles i don't want to know him until he speaks to me.

It's good to get outdoors, i dont trade, it's a stressful thing and all you need to do is look at the price in 1 year, not everyday although i still do look at it and read here for fun  Smiley

We're not at the point where everyone is using it yet so wake me up when they are  Cheesy

BTC-E had a beautiful run today. Too bad I chickened out too soon, but nevertheless got some good fireworks from all of this. $100 in a day is a bit faster than the rest of the exchanges  Roll Eyes

Trading is stressful if you don't have a solid plan to follow. Weed and outdoors help also.

If that was the UK playing a guitar they'd get slapped with a New IPNA law that's just coming in

One thing rpietila said today:

"You know, we kind of decided that $900 is the cap for now".

'We decided...'?

Hmmm.... It's held so far.

It's fascinating how with 3 big exchanges, they keep switching roles where sometimes, one behaves differently than the other two, and either the two follow or the one follows.
