I hate to give the bulls some ammunition, but this is getting scary again: http://www.marketwatch.com/investing/bond/10_year

Economists will begin freaking out and spamming blog posts about the end of the world when it hits 3%.

Go over and look at Japan's situation, I forget the exact number but if Japanese bonds go to around 2.1%, interest payments on gov debt equals tax revenue, meaning that they would have to print 100% of any government expenditures. Oh and that number decreases every year due to their high deficit. In not that many years a 1% interest payment will break the BOJ.

Don't forget, this is why satoshi created bitcoin, and why these short term price fluxuations are meaningless.

Pretty big news. Overstock.com has been around forever and is a big US company.

http://newsbtc.com/2013/12/19/overstock-com-begin-accepting-bitcoin-2nd-half-2014/

yeah..... 2nd half.....  Roll Eyes Thats like eternity in bitcoin times
You saw that article someone posted about Wall Street Money moving into BitCoin in 3-6 months didn't you?

I'm thinking from now on I'm not gonna' try to sell at the tops anymore and just plow as much Fiat as I can into BitCoin and other cryptos no matter the price.

But that was USD, isn't it? Hm, if it's USD than it might be rally, not dump. Or at least he wants us to think that. Strange stuff. Or just margin trade engine doesn't work as trading is impossible in both direction?

This does it.
It looked like the range between 510 and 570 was a good range to sell at in preparation for a second dip. That hasn't come yet.
I could buy back in at a loss now, but looking back at my previous trades, every time I did that, if I just took a step back and waited, I could have bought back at a minor profit instead.
I've placed my bids now accordingly, and am going to take a break from this bloody trading (literally) until they are filled. You'll hear from me when I am ready to dive back into the fray.

This was my feeling too.

The bitfinex statistics page is terrible (one of the reasons I stopped trading there).

a) it's not at all transparent how their bullish/bearish "index" works, but presumably something about the ratio and composition of BTC loans vs USD loans
b) it always seems to be lagging by at least a day or two... so it's kind of useless IMO

Very Important Christmas Gift Advice :

This thing is currently way overbought and mid-term overvalued considering the chinese exchanges current state of affairs..
No more fresh CNY, not even bank transfer cause the exchanges never used them and won't be allowed.
No more frenzy buying by china gamblers, no more capital control bypass trick. Remember they were the one that ignited this baby.
A $100-$150 difference in price tells volumes, that china is weak though they account for 20%-35% of the btc market.
In the coming days they will be dumping on other exchanges, especially on bitstamp to get USD at the best rate. Selling pressure will be overwhelming.
All chinese exchanges reinstated fees, to milk while they can, until they  move to HK with NO big fat pocked china man or simply close shop! There is no way around that.
Yes i'm saying all that after i sold and happy in fiat without loss Cheesy. And don't worry i won't buy back your coins until lower lows are achieved  Cheesy

You can thank me later for saving you from losing some $$$  Grin

Makes sense. But it also makes sense that they would already be dumping. It's bitcoin, they can send it from one exchange to the other. Where is the dump?

We'll see about that. There's a real chance we're going to cross 770/780 (mtgox) in the next 24-48 hours. If that happens, you will most likely have to wait a while for your cheaper coins. They might still manifest, but until then you'll be nervously watching the charts all the time, wondering if you missed the train :D

Another Very Important Christmas Gift Advice :

Lots of people expecting this Holiday dip.

You know what happens when everyone expects the same thing right?

Be careful and on the alert... Don't sell more than you can afford to lose on the short term. I'm not saying we ain't going down, but the dump may make itself wait longer than everyone expects....
