I surrender to the "hat-cult"  too Grin.
Made an avatar (for the first time).

If xhomerx10 will feel like making a hat, it would be nice. Thanks.

I would be honoured to make a hat for you. Actually, I had already pre-emptively crafted a biodome themed hat (not the Pauly Shore movie!) for you but I wasn't sure that was the idea behind your name.  Seems it might have been so I'll look through my unpublished work to see if I can find and modify if for your avatar; if not, I'll start again.  Smiley

Crypto payment platform Bitrefill has launched Thor, a service that allows customers to open Lightning channels on demand. Thor will connect to Bitrefill's node on the Lightning Network, allowing users to receive Lightning payments whether they have bitcoin loaded into their Lightning wallets or not.

And so it came to pass, that partial reserve schemes were grafted onto the back of the Bitcoin network.

predicted. some time ago.

My question is can you or anyone else give me their best argument as to why the bottom is in or not.

From my perspective, your question is inappropriate useless.

Bitcoin is a new emerging asset class, in the initial throes of price discovery. To attempt to time this market is madness. Price goes up; price goes down - you can't explain that. All we really know is:
1) whether or not the world knows it or not, it needs a permissionless uncensorable form of money free from the whims of central planners; and
2) a vanishingly small percentage of the world has yet awaken to postulate 1).

From these two, we can conclude that the long term trend is up, and will remain so until such time that the world at large is onboard.

Ignore the noise. Buy today all you can conceivably afford to lose. Hodl on.

Pit pat piffy wing wang wong.

Bear waxes bullish..  Set defcon3.   Reluctantly issues +1 WOsMerit..

Quite being so speciest. I've always been bullish. Publicly, even.

Thanks for the merit. Smiley

I can think of at least one strong reason why satoshi would like to sow doubt about his existence.

So in your example of a possible scenario he (Satoshi) would come out and pretend to be a total dick to not be outed properly as a genius?

Or perhaps satoshi is a total dick. I mean, why not?

As I recall, the initial outing was not uttered by CSW.

Yes he did, he told various people 'in confidence' and left clues lying around in the hope they would be picked up.

A particularity dickish thing to do.

Try "transacting" in gold or silver across the world for a good or service. Tally up all the usury 'middle men' fees for courier services, vault storage fees, customs fees, armored car services, boat, plane, armed guards, whatever. WELL over $1000+ for a single transaction, even way higher depending on the amount of PM $$$ involved. MANY people are profiting off of your transaction and getting rich. And many points along the path to destination where your PMs can go "missing".

Do you even listen to your own deluded bullshit you spew, r0ach?

And what about the spread of PM's.... you buy some gold/silver today and you sell it tomorrow to someone else losing like 20%. And that is in ideal circumstances. WTF?!

I like PM's, they did fill some niche in the recent past, but I don't see them in the future at all or maybe just as a way smaller niche.

if I have a printed code.... with the exact amount of BTC on it
then I could transact just as easy as you with your coin in your hand
.....

All your replies make lots of sense, gentlemen, and we all know they do. Only, the person you address doesn't, or won't ever admit it. What's the use of engaging him on old matters, with old (and valid, I repeat) arguments? We know what comes after that. Rent-seeking validators, joos, decentralization impossible in principle, more ranting. Blacks. Women. Dogs. Spinach. Ok, not dogs and spinach maybe (yet), but you get my point don't you?

In your opinion, what are the odds that CSW is Satoshi?

I would be interested in you stating in clear terms what probability you consider this to be true?  I appreciate that certain things may be unknowable with present knowledge, but that is why we assign probabilities.

So please tell us what is your probability that CSW is Satoshi.

According to coinfairvalue, Bitcoin should be at $7415 right now.
https://www.coinfairvalue.com/

I was going to give you a merit for providing this source, yet when i reviewed the other coins assessed by the source, I see that a very large majority of the other coins listed therein are currently greatly undervalued based on their "utility" criteria.

Accordingly, even though there is some interesting described values contained therein, gotta take the whole matter with a considerable grain of salt because my overall consideration is that if you give a lot of weight to sound money, then the utility of bitcoin should become immensely distinguishable from almost all other coins on that they list on that site.

Is Monero's value the one that "bothers" you the most ?
I heard about the issues with this one.
There's a topic on reddit about it :
https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/9m88px/according_to_httpscoinfairvaluecom_monero_is/

But yeah, there is an "uncertainty" % for each coin and for Monero it's about 80%. They recently changed that value for some of the coins actually.
These are the criterias they use to give what they call a "fair value".
https://www.coinfairvalue.com/reference/

So yeah, a grain of salt is definitely necessary here.

I did notice the over valuation given to Monero, but I also noticed that a lot of shitcoins were described as undervalued.  In other words, I was not just going by the Monero assessment.

Maybe if you could put a gag in her mouth so you wouldn't have to hear her.

And a bag on the head so you wouldn't have to see her face. Then maybe.
