I'll post it here one more time, so that you folks can also have sound sleep tonight.

http://coinbaseorders.com/

That looks like an easy way to get your coin base account hacked!  Shocked

Not really. The app asks for permissions to buy and sell BTC. That's it.

The access tokens are stored encrypted.

Even if I decrypted them and put them publicly online, attacker would still need another key stored elsewhere to use the tokens.

The only risk is that I will go crazy one day and start buying and selling coins on your account for fun.

Gox price is now below Bitstamp. This is good. This "crash" is a shift in paradigm, GOX is DONE for good.

I hope Bitstamp user realize this and dont follow GOX price blindly. Gox users are basically trading toy moneys.

it would be really really hard to believe gox has completely exhausted all their cold storage coins and USD.

i'm more scared of the possible 30-50K coins that are going to come flying out of gox if they fix their bug.

It has nothing with their cold storage. I said they're done for being an exchange or one with ANY sizable market.

As for coins coming out of Gox. Why would you be scared? thats a good news isnt it?

Is that your contribution towards the notorious Bitfinex liar walls, whereby you create a massive Bid or Ask wall which shows up on live tickers, yet you only have margin/liquidity to meet a small fraction of it?

Just one of the many reasons why I have decided not to trade on Bitfinex any longer.
No I should have the ability to execute that with leverage.

But I tested your theory and wow it works lolololol

MatTheCat with the theory; TERA with the experimental evidence.

Nice work guys!  This is an important find, and something the Bitfinex must address.

Gox price will skyrocket again after (if) they fix their bug.
I guess people just sell their BTC there at the moment because they can't get it out and it might be much easier to sue Gox for USD.

Does Gox has a history of fixing problems in a timely manner?

No no... running would not be suitable.  It wouldn't be Bitcoin unless ALL the Gox employees (and one or two "friends" of Gox whose role is totally nebulous) institutionally forgot about private email and started accusing each other of everything under the sun and talking to lawyers right on this very forum in front of the Bitcoin public.

now THAT's bitcoin!

Should be safe, it's only allowed to buy/sell on the API, no withdrawals. Don't see any motivation for it to randomly buy/sell on your account.

I know. Its so freaking obvious. What an easy easy way to make money there right now.

A funny thing about the bitcoin community is that abundance of semi to full on paranoid people there are in it. This leads to people literally making the case against their own interests.  Its pretty obvious that Gox is not insolvent for  an abundance of reasons. Like for one they are still fully staffed and not letting people go left and right. Also, it is perfectly feasible that they are having technical problems. They are known to be using an adulterated version of the bitcoin protocol that has been giving them technical fits for years. They were simply coded poorly from the beginning.

So, while everyone is running for the hills and trading away their "goxbux" for 58 cents on the dollar, the smart money buys the hell out of this dip. Because everyone who wants to flee will have to buy back to do so.

Wow.
