I'm frankly surprised at the buying going on over at MtSux. Someone believes!

I know but it feels different this time. Mainly because people don't care about good news anymore. Which was the reason we always went up before. They completely ignore that now. The only thing on their mins since jan 1 is sell sell sell. I don't think we've had this happen before.
Could be that a great majority of the newcomers were expecting great gains in short time periods. Obviously a lot of people bought at 900+ so i bet tons of them must be panic selling now with a big loss. I guess they will learn the hard way when they panic buy back in when we go up again.

So nothing really. As most of the times. Panic selling because there might be panic selling. Really at which point is this gonna stop? How is it gonna stop? When we reach the bottom? Is everybody happy then?
Can't these people really not understand the simple concept that what they are doing is exactly the reason why their coins lose value? And that is exactly what they fear? How silly can it get?
You've been through this before, Shrooms. You know this is only temporary. I know but it feels different this time. Mainly because people don't care about good news anymore. I am still confident. When people are buying 250btc with one order on Bitstamp, I hope they know what there are doing (except they speculate to sell it 20$ higher).
There were some indicators. Could you remember, that the gox price was always something like 50-100$ above the stamp price. Just before gox canceled the with drawings, the price was sometimes nearly 200$ above the stamp price. Some people just had more informations and paid a premium to get out their funds. And maybe they sold it on stamp, because they knew, the price will fall after this news.
So what do you think? Did some big wahles know, what war going on with Gox? People just acted like they knew...

I guess they will learn the hard way when they panic buy back in when we go up again. buy range was from 142.50 - 938.00 cad , I've sold for profit 3 times, but really minimal 120.00 CAD but my mistakes were not riding the reason for taking a bearish stance and to be rewarded by the greater dip 24 hrs later, essentially re-entering before a bull trap formed. I just like to hodl though, the price went up so fast in the fall I didn't even have to spend my initial target investment

Personally, I am waiting for the refund for KnC Neptune preorder, all of wich will be transferred back to the exchange to buy BTC back. I expect to gain about 6BTC from the cancellation, over what I paid for it.
So yeah, some are still buying. Bitcoin has seen a drawn-out bear market before. Those who cashed out back then, are the ones who lost the most.

Now, I like a good conspiracy theory as well as anyone, but that whale who sold 1600 coins on Gox for 501 was not in on it. Yes, I'm sure that there is/was inside information. There almost always is. But I don't think that can account for all of the fear selling.

I would not know what to do, if I had a reasonable amount on gox. I probably would hold and hope, that withdrawings will work in the nex days again. On the other hand, I never really understood people 3 months ago, who had still fonds on gox. Can you trust an exchange which needs weeks to get out your dollars?
