Seems to be a lot of sell pressure on the western exchanges.

Are you worried that you'll get your cheap coins faster than you wanted to?

Nope.  Just an observation.  Cheap is relative.

The Orient is dragging down the West, but there is a limit to how much effect this has. Trading this time of night is a good opportunity to catch a bounce from Chinese fear to Western greed.

Agreed.  And that's one reason for the 500 bid.  Another is that I believe it will rise above that level.  If we go into an extended period of doldrums, all bets are off.

The US East coast is going to wake up in 4 to 5 hours and which way they jump is going to decide just how bloody this weekend gets.

I've said it before, kudos to Risto, he called the date for a major correction/capitulation weeks ago.
Us easterners are panicky eh?

I have no idea ....they might all wake up and see bargain coins...

But I suspect the fact the market is being framed by bad news, that there will a lot of losses cut.

Its going to be fun either way  Smiley

A "flaw" in the code which caused Mtgox to fuck up was impossible to predict. So just pure coincidence.

You should read some of the horror stories about MtSux.  Stamp or BTC-e are much better choices in my estimation.

Sure, I don't think he was predicting the circumstances, just that his analysis suggested it was time for a significant correction, he lucked out with this weeks events. In fact, I think we are now below his trendline, so I imagine he's looking at buying in at some point this weekend....$450 is his entry point I remember reading.

If Gox fixes their BTC withdrawals problem before they fix their fiat withdrawal problems, the price there will go vertical, but I doubt you would be able to get your money there to trade before this happens. Even if it does, your fiat profits would be trapped for however long it takes to get it out, possibly forever.

Try to get your money to whichever exchange will let you buy before this transaction malleability problem gets fixed. I'm guessing you don't have much time.

I can't argue with what billyjoe said, but gox had mucho problems way before this latest fiasco.

What makes this spread different than when gox was trading at $950 while everyone else was at $800? I thought everyone ignored GOX already because of their large spread above everyone else. Now that the spread is below everyone else dragging the price down its a HUGE problem.

Yes, that graph is pure for entertainment.
