Ah, so unexpected. The sheep on Stamp are starting to poop their pants. Because panic selling on Stamp is the smartest thing to do if Gox goes down, right?

I just don't believe it anymore. This selling on Gox can't be real. People can't be that stupid.

Exactly what I was thinking last night. Those 300btc sells just don't seem right

Hey Kiwi,
Coming to the islands for a holiday in a couple of weeks...I notice at least one place in Napier where we can use BTC...anywhere else you know of?

There aren't many places tbh, but every time I check out http://coinmap.org/ I notice one or two new places. Vineyards seem to like btc. What's the place in Napier you know of? It isn't on the map.

Why are people trading on Gox? You can't withdraw fiat, you can't withdraw bitcoins. All you can do is trade and lose all your funds to fees.

WHy is gox even open for trading is the other question. The exchange where you can trade worthless IOUs for fun and no-profit.

When you have nothing left, you might as well play Mark's virtual trading game, where all fees end up in his pocket.

Why not? If you assume there isn't a better chance to get coins or fiat out , why not trade to maximize either one just in case withdraws resume?
If there will be no withdraws then also the fees mean nothing.

what the fuck @ mtgox price!

I'm seriously *this* close to wire money there. The only thing keeping me from doing it is that I can't bring myself to support that incompetent piece of .... in any way.

I don't get it. It's not that unlikely for magicaltux to return the coins, is it?

What's the going rate for 1 mtgoxBTC in blockchainBTC?

Anybody just see what happened on gox about 5 mins ago? For about 10 seconds there were about 1k coins to 100.  Then the book was rapidly rebuilt. Shenanigans.
