is it "halving" or "halvening"?
enquiring minds need to know....

halving-from an old english word (Middle english, possibly the proper way to write/say it)
halvening-sounds cool (like 'quickening')

i use both, but lean towards halvening.. just sounds cooler to me. plus halvening just sounds more like "bitcoiny" kinda term as its mainly used in the crypto context. it seems to denote its special status.. not just a halving, but the halvening, a special event unique to crypto. and thus worthy of a new spelling/definition.

Climbing slowly steadily without traditional ropes or suckers; a tiny speck on the tall tower - only spotted by a few.

By the time the authorities realised, it was too late to stop the incredible ascent.

Inspiring allegories are everywhere:

All this talk of to the moon 2020 or 2021 is silly. We all know the real moon is in 2022. Or maybe 2023.

Maybe for you.... or for someone that holds .1BTC....

I think like 1000$ was for some people moon as we might never experience....

I think moon is for a lot of people amountBTC X $-price and if that number is there goal its like moon....

I think 5-digit is for BTC already a bit of moon number as it just f***ing succeed of getting there in this short period of time and looks stronger every day

Imo we are mooning and will be entering unknown spaces beyond this silly moon of ours

JPMorgan owns a ship that was just seized by US Customs because it had $1 billion of drugs on it.

$1,000,000,000 of drugs on a single ship.

But Bitcoin is bad and the criminals should be stopped! 😂

Later wo bros... Gonna go fly my drone now and spy on the neighbors.
....2nd thought, I'd better not.
Drinking and drone flying not a good combo....

auto return/landing on low battery/signal loss for the win. lands right next to your passed out body.

and spying on neighbors? for shame.

of course all my neighbors have given me permission to fly over their property as need on the drones way to its main mission when needed. and of course telling the neighbors the drone is at their disposal for their own property inspection helps too. done some property perimeter runs and roof inspections here and there for them.

programmed mine to do autonomous runs around my property via gps, good way to monitor seasonal (or man/animal made) changes. mainly i use it to monitor the beavers who have set up a dam thats flooded several back acres on mine and my neighbors properties.

industrious little buggers , beavers. done a lot of flooding via their dams. natures engineers at work.

LOL!

they ran the hash algo on the Apollo AGC!

http://www.righto.com/2019/07/bitcoin-mining-on-apollo-guidance.html

10.3 seconds per hash!

Wonderful.
Still faster than paper and pen hashing.
https://www.techspot.com/news/58224-learn-how-to-mine-bitcoin-with-just-a-pencil-and-paper.html

0.67 hashes per day

Quote
it took Shiriff 16 minutes, 45 seconds to complete the first round of hashing to mine a block manually. At this rate, hashing a full Bitcoin block (128 rounds) would take 1.49 days, for a hash rate of 0.67 hashes per day. Conversely, current Bitcoin mining hardware does several terahashes per second which is roughly aquintillion times faster than my manual hashing.

EDIT:
Din't relealised the two articles actually are  from the same blog!

On most exchanges all the other alts are usually paired with bitcoin.  hence keeping bitcoin afloat while the masses run from the alts, once that process is over isn't it expected bitcoin will dump quite a lot?

No choice but it’s only small.  I have given up trying to find an entry position so am slowly dollar cost averaging into a reasonably large long position over the next three months, buying a little long every day.

Thanks for sharing your Majesty.
Personally I haven't picked up trading yet - since the end of May.
Too hot. Too many gorgeous Brazilian topped asses all over the place. Grin

Hold any Bitcoin / Shitcoin portfolio for long enough and this will be the inevitable outcome

I ... had a few shitcoins until 2 - or so - weeks ago. Sacrificed the shit out of them.
Glad I did so, cos I couldn't bear loosing BTC value anymore.
Now I have only BTC & Grin, & my ledger looks like this:

#

What is your percentage of fiat?  (by fiat, I mean fiat that is dedicated to buying crypto on dips or otherwise, not other fiat that you might have nor other fiat based investments that you might have)

I think my total right now is about 96% BTC, 3% fiat and 1% shitcoins..

95% properties & others, total fiat 0.5%, BTC 4.4%, Grin 0.1%.
Have I ever mentioned that I'm semi retired already? Hopefully within the next couple of years, I'll buy that "King Bitcoin" yacht. Tongue

A pleasant good morning Bitcoinland.

I see the slow creep upwards has continued past $13k... currently $13024USD/$17090CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Shouldn't be too long before we see our first new AYH in 2 weeks, maybe even by this weekend, almost surely this month.

Go Bitcoin go.
