Too depressing to watch, back to checking in once a day instead of multiple times per hour.

Hoping things will look better by later part of 2020.

There's nothing to worry about, the price movement isn't as massive we it was previously too, expect things to settle and continue upwards.

I'd be lying if I said it wasn't entertaining witnessing the last days of 5-digit bitcoin prices.

Does it eat you up inside every day that you sold way, way too low?
You could be a multi millionaire living the dream but instead you’re trolling a forum & becoming more bitter & twisted by the day.

Oh well

Lots of better things to do with your time brother. You could even buy back in, maybe just a little. You know yourself that bitcoin isn’t going to zero. Buy a little, at least to minimise total personal devastation if we hit 6 figures & beyond in the future.

All the negativity isn’t good for your inner self mate.

Nah, 6 figures will never happen. And I don't feel negative. I feel great about getting the word out.  Smiley

I'm very new to all of this.  I've never done anything with bitcoins or bitcoin mining before.  Do I need to do anything before I run this program (besides register with a pool)?  Do I need some kind of a bitcoin account or something?  Sorry, I'm a total noob here.

Observing my belated June Post:

Real life and Heatwave over Europe took a toll on Fillippone's punctuality.
As always, feedback and discussion much appreciated.

Hi Fillippone.
It is very hot everywhere in the world for the beginning of the month.
Havent seen Jimbo Toronto on yet so here is a pic of what is going on in his neck of the woods with the price falling below $10,000.
They are just BTFD in canuck land for the countries national holiday July 1st! Grin

I expect another crash within the next two days.

Source? Straight outta your ass most probably?  Grin
My gut Wink

The same source that forced other people on this forum to think we should reach 20k without any pullback.

We have a difference of 4k and it seems to go even lower.

No one knows whether the last bullrun is already finished or this dump is temporary.

I think they are having some problems too with hot weather:

The spike to $13xxx wasn’t a bullrun, it was a bullish spike. The real bullrun hasn’t even properly started. The halving is still nearly a year away. You’ve seen nothing yet noob.

I am saying that I have already become richer than expected, I expect to become even richer, but also, I have enough cushion in my investment and even my strategy and even my psychology that I am also o.k. if I neither become rich as fuck, even if I do not maintain the same level of excessive richness that I have already achieved and even if I become more poor.

Of course, my preference is up or even maintaining, but even while I am ready, willing and able to accept going down a bit, in the end, there is also a certain level of going lower that would start to bother me, especially if I am having to go back to being a lot more frugal like I was in my earlier years and what got me to where I am today, but I have also gotten used to a bit of a splurging lifestyle that I prefer to continue and to even increase the amount of splurging that is possible.

watching the price drop off a cliff is much easier when youre playing with house money and are already more or less ok with your traditional financial situation already.

the only time i got really bummed out with the price was when i experienced the 1st correction/crash/dip whatever, which probably happens with most people on their 1st time experiencing that 80+ percent drop.

mine was 2011-2012 when i 1st started mining.

$10 (gentlemen, start your engines) to $35 (yeah baby!) to $2 (well that sucked)

of course i now had kick ass gpus as a consolation prize so i didnt really mind it so much.

to get that really really sucks thing again it would have to go under 2k for a while. and while it wouldnt hurt me like you i would have to adjust my lifestyle a bit. but someone whos upside down on btc will most likely have a far higher figure.

Because they are in Zimbabwe how will they send you 11k$
I am looking at market in Zimbawe, Localbitcoin in Zimbawe: sellers in zimbawe for buyers in Zimbawe.

https://localbitcoins.com/country/ZW
I read more carefully the offer on Localbitcoin (sorry I cannot find the link any more).
The offer was about RTGS, the local currency officially pegged to USD 1:1, but apparently with an higher exchange. So probably the guy was trying to sell bitcoin and cash in a fiat shitcoin at a more convenient rate of around 6.6.
So to recap:
In Zimbabwe you can buy bitcoin selling USD@11,400
Or
You can buy bitcoins selling RTRS officially worth 1:1 with bitcoin, but in reality a way more convenient 6.6 (convenient firstly the seller, of course, I don’t have any clue which is the real exchange rate).

Primer on RTGS:
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-47361572

Apparently someone is reading my post and this thread!
https://cointelegraph.com/news/is-bitcoin-really-selling-for-76-000-in-zimbabwe

Quote
“Some crypto sites are reporting a 600% bitcoin premium in Zimbabwe.

This massive markup is actually just a reflection of the black market rate for USD held in EcoCash which have just been rendered virtually worthless by the government.”
