I don't like this, alts were just plummeting and some great opportunities were on sight. This sucker might stop that too early

Space Shuttle Karpeles is ready for take off on its mission to the Moon. Its payload? Bitcoin. Bears remaining on the launch pad may suffer burns on blast off. "I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen." -- Atlas

Wait, what? A professor of computer science is collecting information from a website by hand? You've obviously never seen a real professor of computer science. Have you seen anyone use emacs to send an email?

Litecoin and ltc/btc continue to drop. Today they dropped a lot more than I would expect given that bitcoin didn't really move much. Do any experienced traders see this as a bearish sign for bitcoin? Is it possible that people are losing confidence in the market and therefore are selling alt-cryptos first before selling their bitcoin?
Litecoin is being crushed by Auroracoin. Loads of hashing power has moved across. What on earth is an Auroracoin? The mega pump and dump of the year? No that was Gox coin.

ok, ok I know this is completely baseless speculation, but as this is the speculation subforum... If Gox replaces lost BTC by buying them on another exchange, this is uberbullish. Disclosure: trading on the assumption that this is even a real irc chat much less on the assumption that Karpeles is telling the truth is extremely risky.

Wait, what? A professor of computer science is collecting information from a website by hand? You've obviously never seen a real professor of computer science. Have you seen anyone use emacs to send an email? You know. You may be right. My degree was physics with computing but I think what little contact I had with the computing department through that was mostly the left-overs (fortunately, not a handicap). I have seen what physics professors get up to though and I assume it's different but similar.

Ignoring that we have no hint at that happening, it simply.. cant happen. I would imagine they could only get all the bids (744k) filled at ~3000. There, enough people should flock in to take profits and fill Gox. That is an astounding 2 billion dollars. #NotGonnaHappen

Wait, what? A professor of computer science is collecting information from a website by hand? I am a black belt karate informatics expert (kara = empty, te = hand). Seriously, I usually downloa data files from bitcoincharts, but they do not cover Huobi and OKCoin. Bitcoinwisdom covers them but has no download option that I know of. Since it is only ~10 numbers per day...

A messaging app was just bought up for 19 billion dollars by Facebook, for example.
