no kidding. Well there are many who have been arguing that karpeles/MtGox is the victim of a theft, have accidentally lost their private keys, that all is well, Karpeles is merely under a gag order, etc. This should leave no doubt. Karpeles is a serial fraudster. If he has stolen from anyone 'powerful' in Japan, he is going to have to spend millions on security for the rest of his life. I hope he gets what is coming to him. I have never traded on MtGox, BTW, thankfully. i was being sarcastic as i always advocate that Mark just have it all and is going to walk free anyway.

Ouch, totally forgot about that. Has he posted since? Yes, he lost 1120 BTC on Gox. But to be fair if I couldl move fiat from btc-e and stamp, I'd sent 10k there at least too. Who was it again? Can't recall his username. He posted it on the "How much you lost on Gox" thread somewhere on services forum.

This could actually be a bearish formation, if taken out of context. this could be bearish if I Tera post about it. I don't think we're going to the moon or mars, ( in relation to your other response ) past performance doesn't really dictate how the market re-acts today. I am pretty sure demand is what carried us from 1xx.xx to 12xx.xx, I am not saying this recent buy was all the demand taking over..it just the beginning of it filtering back in after being goxxed. The trendline is a general model of the average rate that the demand is increasing over time. I understand the specific drivers on a short term vary and are unpredictable, good news happens, bad news happens, you get goxxed, etc. However, the average rate of change over a long period remains relatively constant due to the networking effect, how many people are aware of bitcoin, how any people have told their friends about it, and the underlying merchant adoption going on. Also, whales follow this trendline very closely. Yeah and we've spent a while under the trend line due to gox ( the one I am following ), we're flirting with being above it I personally believe in a slow grind to 1k by june.. I believed that in october as well.. won't surprise me if we're at 1k next week or a month... would surprised me if we broke far under 400 though. In the time between Oct and now.. I've started to bring up bitcoin and now I never suggest it as an investment..and the discussions I am met with are more of explain to me what this is.. only one person I know has then gone on to buy bitcoin however he had 3-4 friends already buying I am getting a lot less PONZI PONZI PONZI rebuttals

This could actually be a bearish formation, if taken out of context. Of course it's bearish. You still haven't your coins and probably will have to buy in with a loss. Impossible. I am 60% coins now and have more coins than I sold in December (with a large profit too). I've already turned a big profit on coins. Now I'm deciding whether it's really necessary to reinvest the other 40% of house money back into bitcoin or if I should use it to diversify into other things.

see I am watching the bids increasing where the fuck this money came from ??!!!! was it all waiting out of the order book ? is it money that came today to exchanges ? I am so confused...
Well maybe it is someone (most probably the same guys pretending to be bears on this forum) who is longtime bullish on bitcoin and has lost his btc on mtgox. His funds might finally have arrived at the exchanges. You being serious? You really think someone who just lost a significant amount of money on gox just turns around and drops 2 mill on some more coins? Fallacy of sunk costs works both ways.

I feel bad for the people who lost money on gox too. However... I don't understand why the hell they still had money on gox. Idiots! The warning signs were there for an entire year - gox was the biggest running joke in the whole community. It's kind of like how I feel bad for a chain smoker who died of cancer.

I feel bad for TheKoziTwo, as well. Losing over 1000BTC there is just...wow But because he posted this screenshot of him wiring the 50K$ to Gox just days before its final collapse makes me think that both having BTC at gox and wiring that fiat were calculated risks on his part. Hope he knew what he's doing and as befits a speculative investment, he was willing to lose all of this money. He was a pretty active poster and his last login shows 25.2. I sure hope he's okay...

To be honest, just hours before gox closed, I was so tempted to buy on bitcoinbuilder @0.19. I didn't do it. But whenever I think about that I had such an idea, I feel so scary. People may speculate, but NEVER gamble, NEVER.
