There was one sweet December back in 2017 and this is another sweet December we have now. We still have the whole month left to celebrate.

I've read some utter tosh in my time, but that really takes the biscuit.  A future writing pulp sci-fi beckons.

Try the P+S section.
It takes the whole cookie biscuit jar, always good for a chuckle though...

Bitcoin Trust bought near 2 times total #BTC  mined during Nov 2020.

https://twitter.com/Coin98Analytics/status/1334362982965362688

If its true wouldn't the result be a net up?

Why this surprises you when you have Fillippone's post around that told you before Grayscale is a fucking supermassive Bitcoin BlackHole?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5256529.msg55730416#msg55730416

What led you to the belief Globb0 was surprised?

Globb0 is not surprised by this news but interested in the implication for price, surely it would mean net up since some coin is sold immediately by miners and they are buying more than that so it will be gradually draining the supply?

I agree that they can move price upwards buying that way.  Downside is what if they go weak handed and dump it.

I agree that they can move price upwards buying that way.  Downside is what if they go weak handed and dump it.

They are not buying newly mined coins.
They are buying from whales, or the 18,000,000 Bitcoin out there.
The supply demand narrative is evocative, but ultimately a little bit naive.

And they are forced to buy, or sell, according to flows are coming to their products. So far there have been only an accumulation of corn as the whale LOVE to give their coins to BTC to GBTC to cash in the hyuge premium without getting taxed.

If ever those whales will sell  their shares in GBTC, Grayscale will be forced to sell. No discretionality in GBTC head.

These sorts of posts with the data provided is exactly why I visit this thread, thanks for sharing  Smiley

I had heard that the combination of paypal/square/greyscale purchasing was almost 2x the mined supply at the moment, but seems like greyscale are 2x on there own.

Does anyone have data on paypal/square accumulation at the moment?

I'm thinking with the amount of money they are playing with and the lucrative business they have created, it's unlikely they would easily allow their customers to bail.

Too much greed when it comes to money and making money.

However, what do I know? I've been wrong more than once in my life.

Wow. Paul Tudor Jones lays out a belief that Bitcoin is new gold and every sovereign nation will have a digital currency.

Starts around 6 min mark.

Remarkable comments to

#Bitcoin moves nearly half a million dollars in value around the globe permissionlessly every second. It was never about transactions per second and coffee. It's all about value transacted per second and a new financial paradigm.

#VTPS not #TPS. Nothing comes close to @BTC

Happy Thursday JJG No homo

No homo to you too, JSRAW... haven't been seeing you around these here parts very much in recent times.

Cat must have gotten your tongue.

I fear/worry that 90% of retail FOMO run next year will buy 'crypto', completely ignoring bitcoin.

Does it matter, very much?  Might keep the BTC price down, and also allow smarter peeps to get in first, including institutions and financial people who end up "looking into" the matter more closely.

Sure, the recent push for the expression of stacking sats should help some of these normie peeps to wrap their lil heads around the concept of divisibility.

Perhaps?

PPS: i'm an outside observer, no dog in the game, you might want to look a little closer, your country is in a constitutional crisis and the MSM are totally quiet on it ... shhhh, don't mention the 81 million votes for basement Biden  lolololol

Dude. What lowest common denominator twitter and youtube rabbit holes do you spend your days falling down? It's all bullshit backed by nothing and everybody with half of an honest brain knows this.

Doooood. I'm not on faceberg or twatters. Macro investor for 25+ years. You're being gas-lighted into thinking nothing's going on while your sitting president is on youtube telling you there's a shitload of trouble coming in a 45 min speech describing any manner of fraud in the election (cognitive dissonance got the better of you?), it's all out there if you get out of your comfort bubble and leave the security blanket of MSM behind ... you need to wake the fuck up and get into the real world ... doooood.

Sorry to burst your denial bubble but if you're open to new ideas enough to be into bitcoin you should be open to all ideas ... and the US governing bodies are in a world of shit right now ... from one half of my honest brain to the other, honest.

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/archetypical-cycle-internal-order-disorder-ray-dalio/

btw I wouldn't waste time taking money off an argumentative little nobody pissant on a btc forum, I like bigger tables.

Well, if you truly believe Trump will stay in power (or some similar scenario, terms to be discussed, they don't need to be even odds) and you are willing to make a bigger bet on it, I am totally open for that.
We could do a multi-sig type of escrow.

To my recollection, you are not a great better, spaceman spiff.

I am going off memory rather than looking up the relevant posts, but I recall the bet that you made in 2014 or something like that.  You bet that the BTC price would never go below $600 or some other price ever again.. and like one or two days later (sure it could have been a few weeks, but still... hahahahaha), your "never ever again" bet ended up playing out against you in a pretty short time-frame...

Hahahahaha..

 Tongue

Gotta love your spirit though, to continue to want to put bets out there for funzies.   Wink

The monthly update:

September 2020 - so far no storm in sight, but it is getting colder for sure.

Unreal, another month already passed. Autumn has arrived, orange turned into red. Down 7.55 %, 117 pages to catch up. Does everything go down the drain? No! We are 50% up this year and I will have this month my first week off this year. Really looking forward to read you soon!

Gentlemen, I hope you are doing fine and start enjoying the season in comfort! Smiley
No update since 2 months...  Undecided
Are you okay Dunkelheit667?

He's got better things to do than to hang out with plebs like us...

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Today I feel that Bitcoin may just need a little encouragement in the short-term
Me not care short term.  Me okay if corn droop little bit.

Yes, we know, Millionero.. you sold too much too soon.

 Cry Cry Cry

I think we bounce around 18880 to 20220 for the next 30 days.
Maybe we bounce around for six months.  Then six months later $150k.  Six months after that, $60k.

Bitcoin NO doesn't work like that.

Bitcoin is not in a period of stability.. if that is what you are expecting, projecting or anticipating.

Prepare ur lil selfie to get reckt (psychologically and/or financially), if you attempt to invest or trade in king daddy based on a thesis of stability.
