Convincing?
Barely a dip imo..

Convincing to me would have been to around 25-27k for a little dump.. back to 20 would have been a pretty darn convincing pullback..

That was like nothing..
We didn’t even go down as much as we went up in 1 day..

A good dump would knock off a week of gains, not just the last half day of gains..

TLDR:  A dump for ants was witnessed earlier.

Guys.. Haven’t you been in crypto very long?
This is what crypto does..

Get the fuck out of here.

You believe that we are talking about "crypto" in this thread?  Fuck that amorphous category of nonsense.

We are talking about bitcoin, and many of us could give less than two shits if some shitcoin happened to pump along with bitcoin or be oppositely correlated or have its own pumpening event... who cares...

Let's try to stay focused, at least and don't be using nonsense ambiguous terms in this thread.. because if we are mentioning any coins besides bitcoin in this thread, it should be for the purpose of denigrating them rather than trying to provide some kind of platform for them or to even imply that they might have some kind of equivalence to bitcoin - besides riding off of bitcoin's good will and security.

Idk wtf you are talking about, nor what kind of authority you think you are.. You aren’t even a HODLr or an experienced trader, imo..

Look whose getting worked up..,. and trying to make some shit up about what I supposedly am not..    Shocked Shocked Shocked

Making hardly any sense with such emotions, too.

This is crypto,

I already addressed this.  Hopefully, you can attempt to learn what the fuck you are talking about... using such an amorphous term...

Get a fucking grip.

it goes up, and it goes down,

What is "it"?

It here happens to be bitcoin, if you want to attempt to be on topic and not expressing amorphous dweeb nonsense.

and these tiny little downs in BTC lately are pullbacks for ants..

O.k.... at least your referring to bitcoin.. that's a good start.   Wink

How has your selling been going?

I have a system in which I started selling around $250.. and it works pretty damned well if I do say so my lil selfie.

I wasn’t talking about any altcoins, but I would if I wanted to..

Yes.. no one (including yours truly) is going to stop you from talking about altcoins if you were to so choose.. just call you a dweeb (and maybe a few other names), that's all.

Like.. I happen to think Doge and XMR are pretty cool too.. But I’m a Bitcoin believer..

 good for you.

Calm yourself..

Hm? Well, I am not really feeling uncalm in any kind of way.. except perhaps a bit ciiiitttteeee about dee corns..

Just wow! My current (unrealized) networth places me in the company of the 900 richest people in my country, according to the official statistics. I guess there are some more hodlers like me not counted by that statistic. Anyway, this is a good occasion to celebrate! Cheers mates! I pray the lord we stop at these prices for at least a week.. The rise is accelerating to gut wrenching levels.
Let this bullrun chill out or else we'll blow off top.

Still alive, thanks so much to everyone for your replies and merits. Good advices given that will help me get through this.

You don't fully realise the seriousness of COVID-19 until you get it. I still don't actually know if what I have is COVID-19, but symptoms point to that direction... Should do a test to find out. Until now I'm confined at home with zero contact with others.

Now on day 4 from onset of symptoms. By day 5-6, and if things get serious, I should be getting shortness of breath, at which point I should be admitted to hospital. If this does not happen, then it may be possible to fight this at home on my own. I hope so.

Sounds like covid. Hate to say this, but I believe in facing reality: Make sure someone has access to your coins. Reason being I have had two people in December die of COVID. Both felt terrible, went to hospital, felt much better in 2 days, talked to me on the phone about how it really sucked, it wasn't the flu and holy fuck what a nightmare including the shits. The next morning both were dead. They go fast after getting "better".

Please take care of yourself and watch this carefully. I hate seeing people die of this completely preventable shit.

I appreciate the post, although it's scary as hell. As I said, you don't fully appreciate the seriousness of the situation until it happens to you. My advice to all is to not get close to people not wearing masks or wearing them improperly. If the situation is such that there is pressure on you to talk or interact with them, just say NO. You may be wearing your mask and everything (as I was), but the issue is not you, it's the ones you come in contact with! So, stay SAFE, take it VERY seriously, and REFUSE to get close to those without proper protection.

On topic, I see we passed the 27k € ($34k) mark, which is just AWESOME! I saw one big but very brief dip, which was quickly absorbed by the buying pressure. It seems that any corrections (big or small) are quickly counteracted by pumps that bring the price back to its "slow" upward course. If we keep going like this, $100k should easily be reached in 2021. Actually, predictions talk about as high as $400k, but for me $100k as a correction-stabilized price for 2021 is more than satisfactory. I'm sure many of us WOers' lives will change when this happens.

Onwards & upwards!

I received bitcoin worth of 0.19 usd on my ledger wallet yesterday. Nobody knows my ledger besides bitstamp. Anybody knows where this could come from?
Dust spam. It will cost you more than 0.19 to move that UTXO and you may expose your other addresses by doing so. Not sure if Ledger allows to ignore inputs but if it does you should do that.

I've gotten more dust attacks than I care to admit. Always be sure to use Coin Control when possible, for outgoing transactions, avoiding those dust inputs.

Wonder when the day will come when it's reasonable to consolidate all the dust transactions into one address.

Never heared of that. All my bitcoins are on one adress on the ledger. And it has been sent to that adress.

Ledger uses "accounts" which have different addresses (all derived from the same seed). But if you are completely sure it is only one ADDRESS (not an account) where all your BTC is and that is where the dust was sent... then simply ignore, you are just $0.19 richer.

Ok, makes sense. Then it is what you are saying. I thought its one bitcoin adress but I have no idea how the ledger works. What I care about is that my coins are offline and safe. And that seems the case.

yeah, that was also my thought. in the country i live in, making it to the top 1000 list one would need more than $125mio. i would love to achieve that but bitcoin would have to move to silly figures, so not likely at all.

nevertheless, congrats. new wealthy elite and such...  Cool

3 Jan anniversary!

Today is the anniversary day for Bitcoin's genesis block. Let's me use this remarkable day to make a plot for Bitcoin close price on 3Jan-dates. There are 2 exceptions: in 2013 and in 2021. Data from coinmarketcap.com in 2013 is from 29 Apr 2013, and this year, the date 3 Jan 2021 has not yet ended.

What a growth!

You can also look at price history for yearly low price in previous post.

The year 2020 ends with the last rising streak from 29 December 2020 to 2 Jan 2021. It is also a 55th Rise streak and 75th streak (for both Rise and Fall streaks) in history of bitcoin.

The close price on 2 Jan 2021 is $32,127 so if today the close price is higher than that, the 75th will keep going. Let's see.

When I have spare time in coming days, I will make the analysis for Weekly streaks that will be an upgraded from Daily streaks. Stay tuned!
