40k € will probably be broken today.

And even if it won't, it still looks wonderful.

About Chinese New Year, I haven't got a clue as to what the effect to the market is going to be. I have a lot of Chinese friends, but only one of them is a coiner, and a hardcore HoDLer, so he doesn't follow market trends, etc. (he's very happy though—he listened to me in 2016, and bought 2.7 BTC for a total of $1100!)

Hehe, lucky guy.
Chinese New Year is somewhat expected to come with a pullback. But with the current rocket fuel, this year it may just slow the growth a little bit Smiley

if i'm not mistaken they were saying the same thing about 2021 new year and even though many were waiting for a "dump" price betrayed them all and went up a lot instead.

two WO's from the East are practicing for their appearance at the $100k party.

https://youtu.be/41_d4D7T6uI

later a NOCOINER joined them but better late than never.

https://youtu.be/WgD57y4Tkng

You know, it's a shame the 1k party got cancelled and AFAIK, never reinstated. It would have been at quite a pivotal time in Bitcoin's history.

model X is kind of understatement from outside, which i like a lot. inside it is fkn huuuuge.  (i always hated car fumes, made me sick all my life starting from childhood. always annoyed me, inducing nausea. the combustion engine might be a well engineered kind of achievement, but all the oil, stinking fumes, the grime/smut... disgusting... really disgusting... - now, this Tesla is clean like a fresh pack of shiny white handkerchiefs. and absolutely no sound...  rides very smooth.  )

and on top of it all, event hough it is a family car, it accelerates like a beast in less than 3 sec to 100km/h.  if i push ludicrous mode it pulls so hard that my glasses are pushed over my head. no joke. i showed some friends, after two rounds we had to stop, sweating soaking wet. the acceleration is ... hard to describe. my 911 feels like a snail compared to it.  i dont think there are many regular of the shelve cars out there that could beat a model x. maybe none.

Hm. Thanks for the data point 600w, I appreciate it. One of my personal flaws is I tend to extrapolate my experiences with some things to encompass others: Having driven a 2000's Sienna for years I acquired a serious distaste for minivans even though it was a fine vehicle with pretty good acceleration. Then driving the Cayenne made me think of it as a really fast minivan (still ug) and I extended that projection to the Tesla X without actually trying it (ie: All SUVs suck).

They probably don't, and the X sounds like an interesting option for a family car. Will keep that in mind going forward.

Mini ant-sized pumplet, just to bring us back up to ATH territory.

Will it succeed?

Tesla's $1.5B Bitcoin Investment 'A Sign Of Desperation' From Elon Musk, Says Analyst
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/teslas-1-5b-bitcoin-investment-073527943.html

You hear that, Average Joe? Buying bitcoin is an "act of desperation" and is actually a bad thing, not a good thing.

The MSM message remains clear: stay the fk away from bitcoin! /s  Roll Eyes  Tongue

OK so that's what it's about, I really hadn't heard about that news. I actually agree with the title though, but it has nothing to do with bitcoin, as I previously said, Elon is doing this because Tesla's valuation is problematic. Tesla stock should be much lower.

It's actually a smart move from Elon/Tesla to buy BTC at this point, and can actually help the valuation of Tesla in the long run.

Well, down to $45.5k.

We're poor again.

Gentlemen.

Don’t worry, we will see a 1 at the front of that figure before the end of 2021.

A change of a few hundred USD is merely a dot in the charts... Amazing.

Just imagine when 1 BTC = $1M, a $10k change will be a dot of the same size.

Nice green dildo BTW. Ants are active today.

Just wanted to point out that yesterday's ~8k candle is twice as large as the entire price of bitcoin less than a year ago.
