Evolution can't go wrong.
But, evolution has a goal: survival of the fittest.
We think we can influence evolution. Condoms, contraceptives and vaccines are some of our supposed influences. But, they are not really influences, because this is all part of evolution. We are all in the same system. Being smart and capable enough to invent the condom and develop contraceptives and vaccines is part of our own evolution. Evolution has brought us this far, and has favored these choices.
The fittest shall survive, while the weakest shall perish. Deal with it.
human evolution has brought us to the point where we change the environment to suite us rather than us having to adapt and evolve to the environment. and we are currently the apex predator. so human evolution has more or less ceased as we know it as there is no real need right now. well at least until we all evolve gills for breathing when the planets under water or whatever the latest doomsday climate thing is.

Evolution depends on what we are doing. If we are in war for 10000s of years there is hardly going to be any Evolutionary Progress cause those Genome pool that was favorited by Evolution usualy got exterminated and progress put into stagnancy. We are certanly using our Brainpower more than anytime in our Recorded History (Thanks to the Founding Fathers) which does pose a question, is this Evolution we are finaly Witnessing? And how great can human kind become if we focus more on progressing our Being beyond the Primitive Ruleset that is bugging us for thousands of years Thank you Founding Fathers , without you we would not be able to look at these Beautiful screens and talk about Digital Currency in a interconnected electrical grid. Because if you didnt do what you did we would still be waging wars with swords and bows for old farts that got nothing but Hate and Misery in their hearts.

Exactly. The beauty of it is that what you're describing has happened as a result of evolution. We think we can affect evolution, but it's evolution that has brought us here, and will take us further. "Survival of the fittest" is essentially "survival of the capable, the smart, and those who can get it". Those who choose to wear tin-foil hats will be pushed aside and die off.

EU thinking of banning PoW
Have you ever thought about why there are more and more reports and tweets against Bitcoin? Nope. Already got bitcoin and it's 10 years old today. P.S. Thank you DeepBit!

EU thinking of banning PoW The actual wording proposes a ban on POW, not a ban on fossil fuel energy use by POW cryptos.Banning fossil fuel use by POW mining would make more sense than banning POW mining. Has anyone pointed that out to them? In fact, allowing POW use of green, sustainable energy would increase demand for green, sustainable energy and provide great benefits to the environment by driving green energy use. Subsidize POW green energy use, pass laws that encourage it. If you ban POW, you're shooting yourself in the foot. So go ahead, Europe, ban fossil fuel POW. And encourage POW green energy use. Someone needs to wake these people up. How could they be so oblivious?

One concern, though: Survival of the dumbest as an overwhelming majority (Idiocracy). EDIT: We might as well live in a "bubble of the smart" because we socialize with smart prople, mainly. The global masses are easily controlled by FUD and also hate. They would be immune to this common form of manipulation if we, as society would have evolved in favour of smartness. Also, look at religions. Not a sign of smartness that over 90% of the population believes in the big space worm or whatever magical creator/controller being

It's clearly Evil Elon, while Saylor is his submissive toy puppet. Change my mind.

I don't like Saylor too much.. He's gambling a lot and if it doesn't go exactly as he planned it could backfire big time on bitcoin as a whole

What one must do first is get Bitcoin. That in itself is already a calculated and conservative gamble with very good odds, as long as you HODL for 4 years minimum. Keep stacking sats. Then, if you want to gamble on some shitcoins, look for really low value ones and put in an amount that you can lose and not worry about, relative to your finances. Maybe something like $100 or whatever is "coffee money" to you. Then don't ever talk about it. If it loses, you expect that. If it gains, cash out later. But always remember, shitcoins are shitcoins and their expected value is close to zero or should be. It's a gamble, and the house always wins, and you are never the house.
