Halleluja!!

In an hour a thunderstorm is coming and the temperature is going to do a sharp drop from 28 degrees to 20 degrees. At least according to the forecast from SMHI.

Liars, there was no thunder. Just a slight drop in temperature and some very light rain.
Seems we won't get a break until Sunday, I almost fainted when I went shopping today, got me some dehydrating stuff now.

That kind of weather comes with tornado warnings here.

Not creating any FUDs however, just wanted to share one analysis: Last time when RSI went below 20, we touched 27k.
I truely believe in Bitcoin however risk management is really important. Do not hate me for sharing this.

Why would there be hate? I do wish your chart had more information on it. What is the time scale? What is the white line? What are the red and blue arrow's for? Where are your speculative area's of interest or proposed trend line's?
Besides all of that might be good to note the difference between RSI and Stochastic RSI indicator's. I believe what you are showing and talking about is the stochastic one. A Stochastic RSI value below 20 is usually a good indication of a oversold market. The Daily RSI value is near 40, which while not great is not horrible either and can be indicative of a sideways market condition.

Some good information on the differences between the two in my opinion.

Stochastic RSI vs RSI

Stochastic RSI and Relative Strength Index seem similar (especially because they have RSI in their names) but there are certain differences between the two oscillators. There are construction differences as well as use differences. The following are the key differences between the Stochastic RSI and RSI.

Stochastic RSI works on the assumption that prices show a natural tendency to close near their highs during uptrends and vice versa. On the other hand, RSI functions on the assumption that prices tend to move far from a mean position before reacting or retracting.
Stochastic RSI takes into consideration closing price plus highs and lows in a recent range to calculate values. Whereas, the RSI oscillator takes only the closing price of a recent period to calculate its values.
Even though the goal of each oscillator is to identify overbought/oversold market conditions, they yield different results. The RSI helps technical traders to determine when a stock price moved too fast. On the other hand, Stochastic helps to determine when a price moved to the highest or lowest point of a trading range.
The RSI oscillator performs really well in trending markets as it identifies fast-moving stock prices. The Stochastic RSI yields good results when the market is flat or choppy. That means Stochastic is a better performer in non-trending markets.
The RSI oscillator is relatively faster than the Stochastic. The RSI moves extremely quickly between the overbought and oversold areas whereas Stochastic moves slowly. The reason is Stochastic being an indicator on an indicator. It is a derivative of RSI that means it depends on the RSI as well. Therefore, it lags significantly because it is two steps away from prices.
The RSI oscillator was developed to gauge momentum and identify overbought/oversold conditions. Whereas, the Stochastic RSI version was developed to be more sensitive and generate more signals. That means the Stochastic RSI generates more signals and triggers more overbought/oversold conditions.

I've never actually seen one though they have passed within kilometres.  I usually get several alerts each season on my phone, radio, TV...  we actually had one today but all I saw were torrential rains and strong winds.  There was a tornado about 100km north of TO today.  It damaged some homes, overturned cars and injured a few people; fortunately there were no deaths.

If you look at his post history, he all but states that he is an existing user under an alias. Possibly even the one that gave him merit??? Speculative at best... but there it is.

Why not hate on you?

Seems fair enough to hate on you when you ONLY spout out that you believe in down and hardly even discuss any kind of specifics.. are you looking at daily candles? hourly?  Weekly? what?  Do you understand anything else about bitcoin in terms of where we might be at, how we got here that might help to determine where we might be going, to the extent that short-term even matters very much in terms of is there action that you are suggesting.. psychological preparations?  or what?  Prepare to buy some more BTC if you have not been buying for the past 2 months?  or what?  I can feel more and more reasons for hate when there are vague spouting outs of downity, without hardly any context.

By the way, factually we have not touched $27k, yet.  The lowest in this correction has been $28.6k, so far.  We use Bitstamp in these here parts for our general BTC price reference... unless you are specifying some specific or location that you are finding your number (to the extent that your number even matters because right now we are bouncing around the arena of $31,950 as I type this post), so if you are selectively shopping around for a lower price because you want your emphasis to be stronger, you better snap the fuck out of it, and get on the same page about BTC price references.

For sure, I am not going to argue that the odds are NOT greater than 48% that we may well end up testing the lows of this cycle again.. Sure there could be decent odds of testing $28.6k that might even go greater than 55.5%.. but I doubt that they are even much greater than that, even if there was some kind of benefit of the doubt that RSI below 20 actually means anything in terms of some kind of increased likelihood of testing (or retesting) $28.6k.. and even if it matters very much if we were to test support at $28.6k versus going the other way and retesting resistance at $35k... .but hey...

Yeah, let's see how the next 48 criticaltm hours play out.. down?  up?  or sideways?  (or might we need a longer context?  not sure we could have down, up and sideways in the next 48 hours, but usually we have to have one at a time.. so currently we do seem to be having some downity pressures that have been going on for a bit more than a week, but it is NOT really a whole hell of a lot of downity, if we zoom out, it almost looks flat, even though on the down part of the consolidating range.. so does it even matter unless there might be a break out in one direction or another.. sure, when we are on the down side of a range, we might break down, but then we could end up breaking up, too... so I am not sure why we would presume one direction over another having much greater than 50/50 odds.. got me there.

Nick Szabo blocked me on Twitter. I have no idea why.

It's probably him, not uie-poo-ie..

I feel that way about you too, sometimes.
