EDIT: Also, holy crap am I happy with my daily DCA over the last little while. Almost a month completely sober now as well. Crazy times.

Congrats on everything; especially the sobriety!  Keep it up 👍  would be nice to see pics of the completed ranch but obviously opsec concerns would prevent that.  Maybe an artist's rendition in stick figure form?

Once you're at the bottom it can only go up  Grin

BTC (barely) broke out of the downward channel today, although there's some resistance to break, maybe we gonna retest some higher support levels before up moar.
Happy how things are working out at the time.

JJG #583511

Bien terco su tio!

Bwa ha..

Ya gave him every chance then.  You could (silently) push the "AMF Button" (as we used to call it in the TX oilfields in the early 1980s).  Silently, 'cause he's family and all.

Well, since I have been going back and forth with my uncle about bitcoin for about 7 years, I am NOT necessarily going to completely give up on him, even though some of my conversations with him have been quite frustrating from time to time.

I have had a lot of frustrating conversations with a lot of dweebs over the years, and gosh, not even sure if it is fair to refer to my uncle as a dweeb because even though some of our conversations are frustrating, we have always gotten along pretty well - even when we have had various kinds of conversations in which our opinions varied.. and surely through the years, each of us have developed additional stubbornesses.. but we have still tended to get along pretty well in the whole scheme of things.

I did see him yesterday, and fairly early in our conversation, I asked him if he had been giving much thought to my bet proposal, and he said that he had not been giving it much thought, and I said that I have been giving it quite a bit of thought, and I was thinking that perhaps we could cause the bet terms to be way more interesting and longer term, in which we double or triple or even create greater magnifications of the quantity of the bet over the longer term, such as five years, and then I would become very rich off of him.   My uncle said that he was not inclined to bet against bitcoin, and that on the previous Sunday brunch, he had just been trying to make a point about the then current price performance of bitcoin in the calendar year.  Of course, I repeated that looking at the calendar year was nonsense, and we then just went on to talk about some other aspects of investing and bitcoin and some other matters.. so we did not really pursue any of the betting matters, which is fine with me. even though it would have been interesting if he had really wanted to get into some kind of longer term bet in which we measured BTC performance as compared with gold and equities each calendar year with a 2021 starting point... but sure he would not go down that path... so gotta find a willing counter-party (with some level of conviction regarding his/her position) if entering into such a bet.

I think all three others mentioned that this has been something some part of the community has actually advocated for.

If by "some part of the community", you mean Luke-Jr then yes.

Thinking about it, he'd probably be in good company with Dorsey.

There are more than him.  But he really does take the cake.  He has a habit of taking the most extreme position on everything.  A very black and white sort of person.

... feels like the next leg of this bull market might be underway, who sodl the correction?

..... there is about another 3 months before long term holders have filled their bags again. ........what I do know is at the end of this time the price will definitely be off the lows and trending up.

You (somac) would have been more accurate to assert:  "what the fuck do I know".. but whatever, if you have a vision, you have a vision.  amiNOTrite?

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

#nohomo

To me it is very dissapointing how people forcefully push their Prejudice upon other people believing that what they think or say is the Absolute Truth and there is nothing more to that than their Official Prejudice .. Maybe  ... there is nothing i can do to get a Helping hand from BitcoinTalk.. And i should look elsewhere . Yes i got some Great ideas that could be turned into Great Profit and benefit quite alot of people.

Likely the only "great idea" that you have is how to attempt to get value out of other people while providing little to no value in return.  Given your various posts in this thread, you don't even seem to be very good at scamming either..

Sure, you are going to do what you are going to do, but I doubt too many of us would want you to get better at your already shown disingenuineness.. but sure, if you were to reform ur lil selfie, likely some people would appreciate that kind of a thing - and surely it is not very easy to gain back credibility once you have gone down the scamming route.. .. so yeah.. how is a fucktwat like ur lil selfie reformed, I am not sure... maybe in prison?  perhaps?

This market is hilarious, it wrecks all traders. Bull and Bear. I follow a pretty solid guy on Tik Tok (Virtualbacon) and he said he sold all Coins (including ETH and alts) he had into stable coin after Bitcoin broke 30K and wanted to buy back at 20-23K. Let's see if he is ever able to buy back without loss. Selling at these levels is very risk I think. If we trade between 30 and 40k until mid September I have hope for a good December. Of course it could go down to test 20K but risking to sell at 29.5K, I dont know man. Whoever is in control of this market is playing out both sides very well.

I personally expect a last massive push down right before a full recovery and parabolic end of the cycle. Or we move the ATH into 2022. But I doubt 64K was the top of this cycle. İf it was, I am gonna consider selling all Bitcoin I have in the next cycle top 2025. Or at least 50%. Because if we only can go 3x in this cycle, then we might go 1.5x? next cycle. And then even out and keep constant levels and have no more halving cycles.

Even though you pointed out that weird behaviors from some seemingly solid peeps... and overall weird analysis conclusions coming from you, UnDerDoG81 causes me to question whether you are even able to appreciate the difference between a "pretty solid guy" and not...

I doubt that BTC price models of stock to flow, four-year fractal and/or exponential s-curve adoption are yet dead or without predictive powers, so your failure/refusal to give much weight to any of those models likely provides some explanations regarding how you come out so seemingly weird in your various speculations of possible BTC price directions in the coming 3-4 years...

By the way, I still sent an smerit to you, even though there is a lot of seeming weirdness in your analysis and some seeming confusion, and I think that I sent the smerit because even with your weird analysis, it is not even as bad as some other analyses that I have recently come across.. at least on the surface. you started out, kind of with some acceptable assessments regarding traders engaging in weird recent conduct.

So I guess BTC cannot go below WO page count... good to know.  Roll Eyes

Let's pump it up then!!  24 hour post-a-thon!!
JJG, you get a bye.  You already contribute more than 10x the average.

I recently found out that 10x is equal to "1 magnitude"

Who would have thunk?

By the way, I am just trying to keep up with ChartBuddy.. which surely is a fool's errand.. and I am not admitting anything, herein.

Let's hope he doesn't say a word about DOGE and prices go down lmao.

Odds on announcing their own 'eco friendly' shitcoin?

Higher than I am comfortable with.

The litmus test of understanding why energy use is NECESSARY for Bitcoin truly is something akin to an IQ test.

I suppose it is possible for some 170+IQ person to see another way, but I doubt it, and I am CERTAIN Musk is not that person.

I hope everyone is sensible enough not to go near anything Dorsey is associated with. I'm considering moving my wife's company off Square since I heard he was involved.

Unfortunately, the measure is not whether they can come up with something better than POW but a) whether they can convince people that they can and b) whether enough get-rich-quickers who don't really care to understand will jump on anyway.

Lookie uie, richie_t...

First you come up with some lame hypothetical in regards to if Jack and Elon would announce some kind of shitcoin..

Then, you elaborate as if there were some truth in the stupid-ass hypothetical.. in order to do some Jack bashing - because you want to plant dumb ideas as if Jack were some kind of shitcoiner that is equivalent to diptwat Musk or maybe like some of the other shitcoiners that you (richie) have worshiped through the years.

Have you not even figured out yet richie, that there is a difference between a large number of bitcoin focused peeps and various kinds of scammers and disingenuine folks like musk and other shitcoiners .. the various false equivalencies that you continuously strive to plant in this thread, and I doubt that your thinking is a muddled as you present it to be..

yeah... you engage in these kinds of disinformation campaigns with a decent amount of subtleness, but still noticeable enough for some of us folks attempting to pay some attention....  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

They're letting people buy up the price on this Dorsey/Elon nothing burger so they can sell it all at a higher price and get out while the gettin's still good.

First thing I've read from you that has a decent likelihood to be true in a long time (though only short-term).

Yes.. bond with proudhon.. that should help...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

it has come to my attention that there is a significant portion of people in this thread who seem only capable of piling on others with negativity and yet rarely post original thoughts that are constructive

i suggest instead of always trying to beat people down they instead try lifting them up...its surprising how good it can make one feel

just my two sats

This is a weird statement.

I wonder about what is your reference, both in regards to "coming to your attention" and also in terms of "actual examples of "beating people down."?

Sure, I do understand that sometimes arguments might devolve into ad hominem attacks, but sometimes there still might be substance that is mixed in there...

If you cannot resist, #label me as confused

as for the price going up.. i dont really pay much attention really unless its like a 40% move once way or another.

Why are you here then vapourminer?  just for luls, shits and giggles or for some udder reasonenings?

hahahahaha

This most recent dippening must have truly gotten your attention in a kind of full-time status for at least two months (but who's counting?), no?  Or that lingering in the 40% to 56% correction arena does not count?

And what about the dip in 2018  - dipped 70% in February 2018, and then bounced all over the place, but mostly not less than a 40% correction arena, and then got down to about 85% and then seemed to linger in a more than 50% dippening arena for more than 2 years... so that must have gotten a wee bit of your "attention," no?   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I am just thinking out loud, but never mind me.   Tongue Tongue Tongue
