Feels like we’re one little piece of news away from testing the ATH. I expect we’ll see a pretty massive jump sooner than later. We need to move up about 300% in the next 4 months so it’s about time to get this party started. My advice is to make sure you’re ready for a big run because it’ll happen quick and you’ll wake up feeling like you missed out otherwise.

You mean to stay with various mainstream projections? It very well may be, but anything can happen.
It would be exceedingly difficult to pinpoint a top if macro picture and fiat economy stays stable.
Even if you arbitrarily say, let's call the top at 140-160K (where Mashinsky from Celsius is, btw), then the question becomes: keep hodling 100% there, or sell some, and if 'sell some', then how much (5, 10, 30, 50% or all)?
Others are also aware of those numbers, but also of the higher s2f numbers (288K, etc).
This awareness might play tricks with the graph (at the top).

You never sell all.

sorry, not a very constructive answer to the asked questions.

Starting to feel some serious FOMO on propaganda social media
Is it bad that most people "invested" never actually used bitcoin but only see funny numbers on third party accounts denominated in fiat units ?  I think its weird

I used to think it's weird, until I realized that is exactly what anyone is used to on the stock market. You don't get an actual stock, you only pay someone who tells you they bought it for you.

Yeah, had the exact same feeling with the stock market...until I withdrew a bunch of cash to my bank account and used that cash for the down-payment on my house.
The house seemed real enough  Grin...I betcha that Jimbo's lake is real too (and obviously has fish in it). Told my better half about someone using btc to buy a lake..she is jelly, lol.

Well overall not a bad trip to Vega$. Defcon wasn't bad but the "crypto village" was 100% Monero and Ethereum. Need to have a WO table with a flamethrower and cookies or something like that.

Everyone did mask up pretty well, to be honest the whole city is being pretty careful. I was impressed, it's possible all of the idiots are up at Sturgis this weekend....

Despite that I felt no real desire to play craps, gamble otherwise, smoke cigars, wench with women, or even get seriously drunk. Must be the residual stress, but still did spend time looking at nice watches and enjoying the hotel.

We need to have a gathering here sometime. Maybe land our black helicopters in the desert outside the city in a circle around a big bonfire...

Decision out? Or just random dump?

It’s called direction caused by momentum.

It’s not random.

Enjoy while it lasts, even if it feels random to uie poo-ie.

A friend has texted me this morning something they were keeping an eye on for the last
48 hours and at €43k the blue hash ribbon flashed "BUY".

I'm copying a post I made from yesterday >

A rare bullish bitcoin signal, the difficulty ribbon compression, has started pumping up for the first time since the bull run started.

I have been told by a Bitcoiner friend that when this signal flashes Blue historically
Bitcoins price doesnt go below it, apart from the big selloff related to COVID.

I'm still trying to wrap my brains around this but its looking like this buy signal is an
indication that we are going up very soon which would mean we are leaving 2018
values further behind.

Further reading > https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/oXBM6kA5-BITCOIN-Massive-HASH-RIBBON-Buy-Signal-Incoming-The-NEXT-TIMES/?utm_source=amp-version

Thanks for sharing! Had been keeping an eye on hash ribbons for past few days, but flipped back to VPVR and didn't realise the first buy signal since November 2020 had been confirmed  Shocked Shocked Shocked
Doesn't quite mean the price goes moon moon from here, there is still a chance of a -35% drop roughly last I checked, but every buy signal previously has been a good one (apart from December 2019 arguably, though was still a good price overall).
Currently Coinbase confirmed 1 buy signal on the Daily, while Bitstamp is now flirting with a second buy signal today. Still nothing on the Weekly, but I imagine this will follow suit once the 200 Day MA is breached  Cool

Edit: Literally after writing this the BLX, Coinbase & Bitstamp buy signals have now disappeared  Huh I guess the hash rate source must have been re-calculated or something, since yesterday's closing price couldn't have changed??

My guess: some manipulation is in play from the hash rate source that confirms the hash ribbons buy signal. Never seen a buy signal confirm and then cancelled  Roll Eyes
Going to look through the source code to see which source is being used...

Yesterday's buy signal is back  Roll Eyes

No doesnt mean we go moon straight away, there is a chance of a drop back to $43
but after that we wont be visiting $45 again.
