Something is wrong with that image, no? It has the same statement on both the right and the left side of the bell curve. The statement on the left (lower) side needs to be changed, no? The statement on the right (higher) side is o.k.. , no? What do you think about this? Mayor is visionary man and want to secure everyone's future. This is a strange kind of proposal. I wonder about the mechanism.. you get the $1k in bitcoin so long as you do not spend it for 5 years? If you spend it, then you do not get it? I did a quickie search for the actual tweet, and I could not find it (which shows why it may well be a better practice to put a link to referenced tweets in this thread so we can easily look further into them without having to work too hard).

You will find many such offers where people will take your bitcoin or lend your bitcoin and give you USD in return as an interest. Its a new sort of scam to get your bitcoins.

It's not Friday Pump unless we get to $51k damn it.
You sound like a low achiever, Phil.. #nohomostop teasing us and give us a new ath, that up and down around 50k is unbearable
That's because we are badly accustomed to the profitability of Bitcoin. Before it existed, such high returns could only be obtained with very high risk assets, so the potential profitability was coupled with a very high potential risk of losing your money, if not outright scams. To despair when the price of Bitcoin has "only" gone up 500% in the last year is very funny. And it's happened to me too, eh, but if you think about it, it's a good laugh. Actually, if you think about it, there were quite a few highly profitable investments, even before bitcoin, yet one of the things that bitcoin changed is that normies and even poor as fuck peeps could front run the elite in terms of "getting into it." Seems that we continue to be in a stage in which "normies and even poor as fuck peeps" can still front run and continue to be ahead of the elite in terms of getting in, but the "normies and even poor as fuck peeps " still have to have some ability to recognize (and appreciate) such a possibility exists and also to go beyond mere recognition (and appreciation) and take some actions to get a damned stake in our lillie fiend. Some of us are doing it and continuing to do it, and others are waiting because either they are failing/refusing to recognize and appreciate the ongoing opportunity and/or failing/refusing to act to get some kind of stake during our ongoing greatest wealth transfer in history.

Hello friends.
jojo shot me a message, and figured I'd pop in to say "Hi!" and "Miss you too jojo!"
Real life is keeping us super busy lately with everything we have going on with the Ranch build. Should start laying in roads within the next two weeks, and recognized we're going to need to MOVE A FREAKING POND to deal with some erosion issues and build up a portion of a neighbors eroded property, so, it's become a bigger project than initially anticipated, after all the analysis was done. Flooding can be a problem out there in some low-laying parts and the pond overflowing was also causing additional erosion issues. Our main homestead is on higher ground that is not affected.
Slow going on the legal challenge with enclosing a fence. It's meticulous work that we need to do with survey companies and court records, so everything will be ironclad in court protecting our claim. We're effectively "doing their homework for them", and going to shove it in their lawyers face, at what a bunch of absolute fuck-ups their clients are.
Rick is retiring on Tuesday.
Also, don't forget to smash buy some corn on September 7th, in solidarity with El Salvador!
Peace, love, and all that other nohomo stuff. Unless you want homo stuff...
Glad to hear from you sir. Glad all is well. You stay in my heart. I will be right behind Rick, I hope (very NH). Although I have a new role in my hospital system, and am excited to be doing this job... I might just see how long I can stand it.

The statement on the right (higher) side is o.k.. , no? You get the whole point of the meme, right? That the edges of the bellcurve are ironically both saying the exact same thing, and are ironically correct, while the great masses miss the biggest opportunity of their lives? To me it's one of the truest of bitcoin memes. The point is the masses are missing it. To be honest a wise man said it to another man in a vision 2000 years ago basically: I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

gasoline sucks as it does not store well if I had my way you would see almost no gas.
I think this depends on the gas. I had ethanol-free gas I kept in my basement for 5 years and it ran like fresh when I dug it out. I've also had ethanol gas that was unusable after a season.
The blockchain grows about 50G per year, so you're good for another 10 years. 1T sounds like the right choice.
I agree. SSDs have a sweet spot and 1T is about where it is right now unless you have specific needs. I've never found upgrading to be much of a pain, particularly for data drives. In fact, keeping system drives as small as possible helps keep upgrades snappy.
$50K is being such a tease right now.
Keeping me from my comfy bed...
Re: Propane vs gas. You need 1.38 times as much propane as gasoline for the same energy by volume (assuming liquid propane) and for 20lbs of propane, the container weighs about as much as the fuel it contains Why does the ethanol mix not store well? Pure petrol stores well, as you said, I have also used really old petrol from 20 liter cans I had stored in my garage. And ethanol also stores well, I have 40 year old vodka that still works fine. So why does the mix not age well? I would venture to guess that there is a difference between you drinking your 40 year old vodka and you burning it. #justsaying stop teasing us and give us a new ath, that up and down around 50k is unbearable

Exactamente, vapourminer.. I find it so damned difficult to get bored with this whole matter.. and for years I have been considering that 100s of percentage of profits would not be sustainable.. but it has been continuing to go on and on and on.. and I don't even have a problem with a leveling off of the UPpity slope at some point whether now or in the near future or whatever.. but it does what it does.. and if the slope doesn't want to level, it doesn't want to level.. who are we to say otherwise? Mere peons looking UPpity on a fairly regular basis, and maybe our necks are hurting a wee bit sometimes too in this whole process, no?

50k is in so I sold a small piece.
Next stop 60k although I hope some to sell at 55k in under 10 days. Maybe 60k in under 12 days.
Then the elusive 70k which I guaranteed for May 2021.
I would like to get to 70k some time soon. As I do not want that guarantee to continue to haunt me.
Frankly it (BTC) is a bit boring at the moment. This is cool as I have a ton of other issues in the real world to work on.

Yes, that's what I mean. We've just touched $50,400 btw, let's see if we break it today. yeah i guess 50k(ish) is pretty boring. im taking a nap now wake me at like 60k or something. or 40k. Hey.. hey.... hey.... I don't mind $50k whatchutalkin about willis? I am not bored. $40k.. bah humbug. Shitcoins going bananas and Bitcoin not able to stay above 50k. Starting to have the same feel as it did earlier this year in May. I don't think we're going to drop but it's always frustrating to see this happen.
oh gawd........ Who fucking cares about the tail? Doggie no doesn't care. Or at least it shouldn't. (in theory... hahahhaha)

A fews days ago i saw a dream that one fine morning, i checked bitcoin price and it was 100,000$. I was so happy to see this but then my eyes opened and when i checked in reality it was around 48000$. My friends says that i see real dreams, so this means that bitcoin will reach 100,000$ in reality I just went out with a realtor yesterday to view a property based on the likelihood that bitcoin will be over $100k by the end of the year. I wanted to be ready. I'll definitely be looking at a BlockFi loan as opposed to cashing out.

I've been wanting to do something like that for a long time: extracting fiat without cashing out. I'm just very wary, because all the bitcoin lending setups I've seen in the past were scams. BlockFi looks like it's a bit different... until it turns out it really isn't?

BlockFi looks like it's a bit different... until it turns out it really isn't? From what I saw the US government is fighting them on the Bitcoin loans. I figure if I get the cash in the form of a loan for the equivalent amount of BTC that I would have otherwise received via cashing out then they go bankrupt or whichever, it still qualifies as a loan as far as the IRS is concerned. Just nobody to pay the loan back to.

Seems like i had to go on a second vacation for the price to go over $50k Greetings from fillippone's motherland. One of my sons came up to me today and reported that he has seen a bitcoin-tattoo on one guy. So he asked him if he "knows bitcoin", and the guy said "yes". No more words were wasted on the topic (good boy). Later on, i saw the guy and the tat, but it was a regular uppercase "B" in college font, in a circle. I guess it should mean "Basketball" or "Baseball". I explained the Bitcoin symbol to my son again, i think he finally got it now EDIT: I got 4 sendable Merit at the moment. Will give 2 10 sMerit to the WO identifying the location (city)Will give 1 5 sMerit for correctly guessing the name of the city in the background as wellEDIT2: Thanks to El_duderino, who made it possible to top up the sMerit rewards. It's a hard riddle, but i will give additional tips if nobody can solve it.
