-Bitcoin & Ripple-

It's just a matter of time for Ripple to take over bitcoin.

haha...is this a level?

Newcomer on bitcoin totally underestimate ripple and the revolution which is coming. Bitcoin will slowly disappear letting the space to the next innovations.

I can't believe there are real people writing this.

The lack of imagination is still high here but it will change. Denial is really something weird...

I know you guys need things to go mainstream to understand what's happening so here is a start...

http://www.businessinsider.com/ripple-profile-2014-3

Another example: In new york audition in january 2 people in the panel were Ripple investor (and also bitcoin investor of course) and another linked to Ripple as a councelor. The possibility that bitcoin could be take over by another incremental innovation has been exposed several times.

Furthemore the bitcoin adoption is based on potential revenue increase for the merchants (for example overstock;com) but it doesn'st really solve anything (at least right now) for the average joe. The volatility risk is also held by consumer and by some companies which are under capitalized (which means that if they have a small problem they die)...

So i'm not saying Ripple will be the innovation that will make you forget bitcoin, but if it's not ripple it will probably be another innovation like that.

Bitcoin is a start of a new financial technology field, not the holy graal. Try to keep that in mind.

There are several 800BTC+ transactions rolling through the blockchain right now.  Just went over to blockchain.info to check a few things, and there were a bunch of $500k+ transactions coming through one after another

you could say the same thing for ripple which could be both TCP/IP and HTPP.

Anyway things are evolving quickly and we'll know soon(within 5years) what standards will stay or not. I'm still not sure bitcoin will win honestly, ripple is more evolved.

In that case you may want to consider: NXT, ORB, AUR, etc., please forgive me if I missed some other IPO/Super premine coins.

No, please don't listen to mah87. Ripple is the largest scam around. It's basically a 100% pre-mined coin with no actual mining to protect the network. It's a centralized alternative to Bitcoin. Yes so are fiat currencies.

I'd advocate buying Euros and Dollars over buying Ripple and considering my apathy against those that's saying something.

Good for you but you better learn about it, I'm not talking here to push people to buy some XRP (even if I do like XRP ^^).

Colored Coins are really similar to Ripple. But, in my opinion, having this based on bitcoin blockchain is not an advantage, it's slow.

However Ripple could die if it can't achieve a critical mass, it could also become what bitcoin+colored coins try to do but in a better (no mining, electricity waste and power concentration between few miner) and faster way (instant validation +/- 5sec).
