Look at these Sellwalls around $63.300 popping up out of nowhere when the price is on a rise.
At these price levels they are harder to break than, say in  2017.
I don't see green $10k+ candles as long as this is happening...

EDIT: ...anytime soon.

Sometimes that's how we get something that would add up to something like a $10k candle....... those walls can serve as fuel and create incentives to burn the likely desperate shorts... or should we refer to the process as r3cking the shorts?

poor lil fellows shouldn't be shorting in the midst of noman's land anyhow (i.e. shouldn't bring your kids to a warzone)....   did I see billynocoiner in there or was I mixing him up with some other bitcoin doubter?

Yeah.. there might be pausenings during noman's land, but the thesis has not be broken.. and even the pausening did not seem to be enough.. more than 2 weeks, but less than 3 weeks?  Sure some of us will remember this.. but still... it might not even show up as a blip on the radar screen in the whole scheme of things.

It was showing green on the inevitability chart, time is relative

I am questioning whether I should even say anything.... but I will...   and I will let the cat speak:

[edited out]

Trust me JJG, I'm not salty about Plan B at all. Having lived in The Netherlands, I like listening to him and his opinions. If there is an interview with him, he is one of the few I can stomach listening to for an hour or so, even if he basically says the same thing as last time.

Well... many of us know that it remains a better practice to NOT be putting any people in bitcoin on a pedestal.. and of course, if we are listening to their human contemporaneous statements, the random boringness and even faults of humanness will come out from time to time.

Even Michael Saylor becomes a bit too much sometimes.
One question can set Saylor off on a 20 minute monologue over stuff that was totally not asked.

Fair enough.

Like I said, I hope Plan B's predictions are right but I'm not so sure as we continue to rise the cycles will be as clear to differentiate.
We will see.

Yeah.,. we will see.  Frequently I assert that S2F is amongst the best of price prediction models, but for sure I take any of those matters with a decently large grain of salt.. and attempt to couple the model with other models and even other ideas that might be out there in terms of pulling and pushing forces that cause actuality to deviate up and down from the mean lines contained at various points within the model.

Do you think we will see a 200K BTC within the next 4-5 months? I'm not so sure.

I hardly have any clue.  Recently, I have provided my assignments of probabilities both in terms of price and in terms of timeline in the below two linked posts.. and sure even I might waffle from time to time, and reserve the right to change my opinion from time to time, too.

This post that I made about Price from about 8 days ago:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg58307876#msg58307876

My post about price puts supra $200k at about 30.5% for this cycle, but it does not put the end of the cycle at 4-5 months.. but suggests a 95% chance that the end of the cycle would happen by the 3rd quarter of 2022.

This post that I made about time from a few days ago:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5346118.msg58346117#msg58346117

Furthermore, I stated in that post that I have about a 77.5% expectation that the cycle would end before the 2nd quarter of 2022... but what the fuck do I know.. I am just doing my best to put probabilities on various events.

It seems Plan B has lowered his end of year expectations a bit as the year has progressed. Maybe 90K - 100K is still on the cards in the next 2 months though.

Perhaps he changed his expectations, and I would imagine that there are some elements regarding how much to expect when projecting out further in the distance compared to having expectations that put king daddy on a tight schedule that may well not happen.  So in some sense there can be more freedoms to project BTC price without putting such projection into a timeline, and the tighter the timeframe the more difficult it would be to proclaim that the BTC price has to explode by 2x or 3x (which would be $200k/$65,500 = 3.05x) in a relatively short-time frame.

I think the chance is likely we see it fail late in this "cycle", which is really fairly soon...

Salty cow.

Salty cows everywhere.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

@JJG - Note that @cAPSLOCK talks about S2F likely failing late in this cycle, but he doesn't specify if it will fail on the downity or the uppity.

Some peep was not pee-pared to this plot twist? Perhaps? Perhaps?  Tongue

I was not associating cAPSLOCK with salt, cows and/or perhaps being old for his assertion of failure of the S2F model based on price direction, but instead based on his seeming ongoing inclinations towards rolling his own BTC price prediction models - including but not limited to prematurely calling the death of a model before it has even come close to dying.

$63k in one two hours Tongue
Hope chart buddy accepts your proposal but here we are seeing pump for ants  Grin

Yes the volume is virtually non existent

One of the most interesting parts of this "cycle" in my opinion.  It is not retail.  The retail markets are nothing more than an unreliable oracle so far.  And the majority of acquisition is happening in dark pools.

If retail DOES start to buy this cycle they are going to soak up the available float so fast it will make peoples eyeballs pop out.

Watch.

(If it does not happen this time, which is hard to even accept as possible without some giant global macro black swan... it WILL happen in the next cycle.)

Nice...just one note...retail is NEVER going to buy a 65.5 64K asset. Not in the cards.
They will buy ETF at a fraction of the price, though, or things like GBTC at 50 or even 150 when it gets there.

It's a bit ironic hearing such unit-bias nonsense from uie-poo-ie Biodom.

Accordingly, if retail does not feel inclined to buy lillie fiend at $65k/$66k-ish on the way up, they may well be feeling more inclined to buy our lillie fiend after it does its 60% to 85% corrections back down to sub-$100k.. perhaps? if it ends up correcting that low?

We will see, but it surely seems like a lot of nonsense pigeonholing normie folks into unit bias - because if it makes some normies to feel moar better, then they might be inclined to buy several thousand satoshis once a week or whatever other dollar cost averaging formula they figure out at some later date when they realize that BTC is more inclined towards long term UP rather than the long term direction of their dollar or other fiat that they might be trying to figure out how to invest into something that is going to bring them long term value and even some sense of security in our uncertain prices going up (dollar does not hold its value sufficiently) world.

And, by the way, a lot of normies (including retail normies) might not even have access to various other investment vehicles such as GBTC (maybe presumes that they have a 401k) anyhow.

$61K held as support, $64K was broken, therefore $65K now being re-tested. Price closed at the highest ever Weekly close of $63.3K while as of today is on the second ever highest Daily close.
Looks like this week is set for a new ATH if the day ends as well as it started. Within an hour of the Weekly ATH close, price has increased by 3+% / $2K, this says a lot about the bullish momentum.

Price remains bullish while holding the $61K local volume point of control. Bouncing off this support will likely bring about a re-test of $65,000 and a clear path towards higher highs.

Interesting.

I think that daylight savings kind of threw me off, and I was out and about when the BTC price started to rise at the end of last week's candle, so I had not realized that the UPwards price move had started right before the close of the candle (even though sometimes I have been found to be paying attention to the close of the weekly candles, whether green or red - and how many greens that we may have had in a row, for example).. so good thing that you pointed out that there was a kind of last-minute sprint to finish off last week's candle with an all-time-high closening.

.. no complaints here.

Nice to wake up and see we are so close to a new ATH. After 2 weeks of sideways boredom, finally some movement. May be Greyscale related news?
