[edited out]

Yes I survived 2013 with all my stash, that's actually when I got almost all of my stash.
But that doesn't make this bobbing up and down i the 60xxx range any less annoying.
I would be much happier if we bobbed around in the 80xxx range.

You make little sense.

Have you ever considered that bobbing around in the $60k range is better than bobbing around in the 1) $6k range  2) $10k range, 3) $30k range and 4) $50k range?

It's not that bad.

The answer to your question is:  "yes we are there yet, and no need to worry.. we are making progress towards even more there."

'OK Boomer' I hate that term more so since that fucking communist Ocasio-Cortez used it.

When I hear it used, it conjures up an age old story:

A farmer goes out one day and buys a brand new stud rooster for his chicken coop. The new rooster struts over to the old rooster and says, "Okay old fart, time for you to retire."

The old rooster replies, "Come on, surely you cannot handle all of these chickens. Look what it has done to me. Can't you just let me have the two old hens over in the corner?"

The young rooster says, "Beat it! You are washed up and I am taking over."

The old rooster says, "I tell you what, young stud. I will race you around the farmhouse. Whoever wins gets the exclusive domain over the entire chicken coop."

The young rooster laughs, "You know you don't stand a chance old man, so just to be fair I will give you a head start."

The old rooster takes off running. About 15 seconds later the young rooster takes off running after him. They round the front porch of the farmhouse and the young rooster has closed the gap. He is already about 5 inches behind the old rooster and gaining fast. The farmer, meanwhile, is sitting in his usual spot on the front porch when he sees the roosters running by. He grabs up his shotgun and boom, he blows the young rooster to bits. The farmer sadly shakes his head and says, "Dangit, third gay rooster I bought this month."

Moral of the story...

Don't mess with us old folks. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!

Triggered boomer threatening to shoot the gays in order to prove himself still relevant.  Grin This is why an increasing number of people can't even be bothered to engage with the self-righteous, entitled brain farts of a lead-poisoned generation. Hence: OK, boomer.

But don't take it from millennial whippersnappers. Silent generation agrees with us

Obvious apple of discord is obvious.

I am sure that the powers that be will dream up some other attack vector on Bitcoin should they lose the Tether FUD angle.
After all, it is human nature to be fearful and takes years of experience before being able to see it for what it is, an emotion. An emotion that with a little time and experience one realizes does not have a hold on you unless you let it have one.

So as long as young noobs keep joining the Bitcoin movement then there will always be an attack vector. Only when Bitcoin has become so widely adopted to be at around 90% saturation, will those attack vectors no longer be relevant.

The "attack vectors" on Bitcoin are already here. They're called shitcoins, NFTs, and DeFi scams. Every couple years there will be new dujour ones, and they will be constant, never ending. None of them will have staying power though, because Ponzi scams never have staying power for very long. The worst will be complete rug pulls.

The establishment elite do not own 90%+ of Bitcoin so they can't willingly and publicly promote and pump it, and beyond the "deflationary/sound money/inflation hedge" narrative they view Bitcoin as a very boring commodity. They know that there is no real bear case for it. They will still fill their bags with bitcoin to hedge, albeit slowly, because they absolutely know its true value.

But they will constantly assault the public with shiny new, short term shitcoin scams and cons every couple of years. All these will have exciting, next-big-crypto-thing "narratives" that the elites can spin in the media, as a way to facilitate pump and dump fads that they control and can profit from.

You can still see this in the MSM's "promote every crypto BUT Bitcoin" message that they continue to this very day.

jbreher and I have some common non-BTC interests, and communicate outside of WO occasionally. I told him he had been mentioned somewhere in a "what happened to OG people" discussion.

He says to tell you all hello, we are still in the early stages, and "This is Gentlemen".

Excuse off topic....

Oh, the irony...

I myself don't fly anymore, whether it be a rocket fuel bomb, jetliner, or a small plane, but that's just paranoid me.

If jbreher were to come back here and say "Hey guys, I was completely dead wrong about spending years in the WO thread shilling for BCash with zero good reasoning" then the post might get one of mine.

Otherwise, nah...he can fk off.
