Well this is what Americans supposedly voted for.

To be fair, some of this started under Trump and the unmeasured reaction to the coof (which that was part of) hasn't helped. But yes, those who gave votes to Biden should have known this was on the cards.

Not that anyone's vote really had anything to do with the outcome of this last election.

And this juggernaut was set in force decades ago.  And involves the whole world.

The phrase "Build Back Better" has been bandied about for quite some time (prior to covid).

How could they have known we would need to "build back" from something?

 the USA has allowed

the roads
the railroads
the airports
the internet
the docks
the bridges
the power grids
the dams

to all fall behind  since 2000 when Bush beat Gore
so yeah this has been a long time coming

I drive from Howell NJ to New Hyde Park NY a lot maybe 25 times in a year.

it is a 80 mile trip each way.

we go on 3 bridges and 6 highways.

Been doing it for 30 years.  Made over 400 trips 2 times zero construction 398 times some kind of construction  most was minor patch work.

It is like this all over the country. I drive a lot and most places have old decayed roads and bridges.

Well, around here, they do work on infrastructure, but this work takes AGES. A relatively simple highway fix takes 4-5 years.
That said, I visited the Tri-State area after a relatively long absence and it did look a bit shabby on Long Island, for example.
To me, our endless highway works look exactly like in "Falling Down" (the 90-ies movie with Michael Douglas). They got the budget, so they are using it (slowly).

OT I just realized that Michael D. father, Kirk Douglas (of Spartacus fame) lived to be 104. A long life, but he looked very robust, physically.

At a glance: we're still missing the last leg.

Agreed, can't see the numbers on that graph properly but I guess it should propel us to something like 200% up?  Cool

But who will they trade with? El Salvador?

https://twitter.com/btc_archive/status/1481211084887445507?s=21

If you're a company that has to keep 8 or 9 figures around in liquidity for keeping your business going, you've got to be considering your options.

Volatility is still an issue but it has to be obvious to a lot of people that Bitcoin is cheap right now. Small companies with forward-looking management about to hit the big time, I think.

What is this? Sideways for ants?
Ant pumps are going for long and maybe now these ants have turned to big lizards so now stop CB please and give some boost out pumps to elephant's also Grin

Even if you want to make some tortoise moves then do it but make them in forward direction not around the circle of $41k-$43k.

C'mon have some btc food and spill out some pumps for us also Wink

To some extent, "it is what it is."   $43k and even touching upon $44k feels relatively better than when we had our dipping down to $40k and even touching into the upper $30ks.. even for how short of a time that it was... .. not a good feeling...

So, yeah getting a bit more UPpity should not be a bad thing, and maybe we cannot start resting assured about our bottom of $39,559 for this correction period being "in" until getting into the upper $40ks and even in the lower $50ks, but maybe we cannot really start to feel some kind of assurance that our distance from that $39,559 bottom is sufficiently great enough to be "in" until we get supra $52k or even supra $53k.. Currently, I am thinking supra $53k... even though getting above $50k could perhaps be enough.. I just feel it might not be enough to start to feel some confidence that the local bottom of $39,559 is "in."

Any mining expert can disclose how many machines or how much it currently would cost to set up a mining arrangement that produces 126 Terahashes (TH) of mining power?

You know the saying; smoking a joint a day will keep the doctor away.

Not that i smoke weed but cannabis oil has been used for centuries, it was -and still is- a very popular medicine to all kinds of conditions.

Cannabis pollen is found on the mummy of Ramesses II and even jezus himself used anointing oil made from the plant. In fact this plant was one of the most important healing plants out there all over the world.

It was the pharma industry who where against it but the plant is making a comeback.

The Bitmain S19 has 110Th/s

On average if you solo mined with one Bitmain S19 (110TH) you would find a block about once every 30 years (assuming current difficulty stays constant, which it won’t )

https://twitter.com/btc_archive/status/1481211084887445507?s=21

Seems that one of the powers of bitcoin is that they can trade with anyone who has bitcoin and who is willing to trade with them.  No one can freeze the transaction, if they are using dee corns.

After the transaction has taken place, there could be other ramifications.. .but

but

but.

before the transaction and during the transaction.. not going to get stopped.... and such transaction is not going to get reversed either (at least not unless voluntarily willingness of both parties) is it?

Well this is what Americans supposedly voted for.

The most popular president ever if you can believe that.

sloppy monetary policy is not a partisan issue.

Neither side knows how to get out of this damned if you do and damned if you don't situation.

Both its "what to do now?" nature, and "how the fuck did we get here?" nature are bipartisan that likely goes back to at least 1971 if not before that.... of course, it got worse and worse and worse, and surely maybe there were some periods in which something else could have been done - instead of bailing out industry, whether we are talking about the late 90s early 00s or even around 2008... and many of us know that the level in which they have trapped themselves (by their predecessors - some of which are dead) has been a building and building and building problem..

And, yeah, different politicians will come out differently regarding who get's the spoils of the riches and the irresponsible monetary policies... ..

it's likely going to take a while to get out of this mess.. even with some safety boat of bitcoin here to assist.. for those who can recognize it for what it is.

Not that things are much better in much of Europe or UK.
We seem to be debasing our currency at about the same rate.

Highest inflation in 40 years in the USA albeit I reckon the CPI figures are still far lower than what many people are faced with.

Of course, world-wide and the dollar seems poised to remain the strongest of the fiats in the coming 4-10 years (while we should be diversifying into bitcoin if we have not already started).

I'm happy to report my salary increase in percentage here once I hear about it in a few months.

I bet it will only be 2%.
Fucking jokers.

'Even if you would feel better with a 6% adjustment, it probably would not be enough.. but you would still likely feel better if it were that high.
