Someone should design a MeritBot which determines which merit farmers are capable of demonstrating original thought by cross-checking the forum and Google for repeat content, and then award them with an appropriate amount of merits.

On the flipside, if a merit farmer writes 5 or more merit-less posts in a row, they should be excluded from the bot's consideration for the rest of eternity.

I hate to bum-rush the answer (me, me, me), but just to clarify that the last candle has not yet closed, so the since the chart is structured on a calendar year basis (which is somewhat arbitrary, #justsaying) the last candle is ONLY a little more than 8 months old, so far.

Yearly candles.

Source

If I'm not mistaken, the last candle is not a yearly candle...

You didn't make a mistake. You are right. The year is not ended yet. Still, three and half months to go. So, there is no point in entering the closing price for 2022. Open, Low (should be "Lowest so far"), High (Should be "Highest so far") and kind of acceptable.

I don't think so that the last candle is not correct.

You didn't see the date mentioned above. Means it started the year from 12sep and end it on 12sep every year. And take start from 2011 not from 2010.

So I think the last candle is correct.

Not True.
According to your posted chart. The closing price of BTC was $28993, which can vary a few hundred dollars from platform to platform.
But, If you look for September 12, 2020, The closing price of Bitcoin was $10375.

The year we were closing counted as December 31. On December 31, 2022, The closing price of Bitcoin was $28748.

Is it sufficient?

So, they mean the year closing on December 31st.

By the way I didn't committed that its right. I said I think it is correct
The issue is in the last candle and now it is cleared that the above mentioned date is only for the last candle and shows that the last candle data closed at 12sep.

So chart is correct. And we should understand, because it mentioned the date above.

Here's my latest macro analysis (3 Day chart) for anyone interested. Already getting February 2019 vibes. Another months worth of consolidation to come imo to frustrate traders. Re-test of resistance incoming.

2019 Bitcoin Bottom

2022 Bitcoin Bottom

Ideally the next few weeks can be spent turning the 20 MA priced at $21,950 into support, then we're good to go. Expect bears to be screaming "lower high" after re-test of $24K resistance.

TL:DR: Bear market bottom is 60% complete.

Waiting when you explain that.  Huh

That '22 candle doesn't consist of a year's data. It is not finished yet, and it is still forming  We don't know what it will look like in the end.

Such news adds the more Volume and Sustainability in market. According to my analysis whenever an ETF approves it refer to the trust of the major investors as in back 2021 Some ETFs approved and some were rejected they made an impact on the market value of BTC in term of a Positive manuplation.

Lets suppose if this ETF approves they a Instinct change can be taken into count.

A few a simple point is I'm letting it a +ve Green as 23k resistance test is important and if we break 23k in this week then I'm expecting a Major change upto 30k in October first half.

Title says "yearly candles", and one of the candles is not a (finished) yearly candle.  Let's keep it at that.

Not a bad idea. But, No extra benefit. Only if no one has sMerits except that bot. Then, I would say build it and people like n0nce, PowerGlove, LoyceV will be the receivers only. The post counts will decrease drastically. People will post only if they think their post is worth reading and interesting. Signature Spammers will be affected negatively.

A question. What will be the source of merits of that bot? DdmrDdmr?

Some time ago, I was severely chastised by @JJG for daring to cherry-pick the timing for bitcoin's open/close values; a lesson I have not forgotten.  Be prepared to answer some hard questions and perhaps receive a bat-slappening.  You might get some lenience if you're Ethiopian or Eritrean since Enkutatash (their New Year) is Sept 11th but I wouldn't count on it.
 Good luck!

I actually heard some fireworks and loud music going off the night before, a few miles from my house.

I also heard that they collect a huge pile of sticks as large as telephone poles, and set a fire on them in the middle of streets - obviously not highways or anything big but in the neighborhoods and perhaps some squares.

(I'm not ethiopian, but many of my relatives happen to be. I don't even speak the language. Natural born american here.)
