Merit abuse.I think he is abusing the merit of being a senior member. He gave him 21 merits for a simple post. WOW thread a Senior members are given merit if they post any kind of posts. I think if senior members give merit to a new member's post then he will try to post better. It's conceivable that ChartBuddy has achieved sentience and subsequently hacked into El duderino_'s account to give itself a few merits or was somehow able to force El duderino_ into compliance with its wishes using coercive techniques. It's also concieveable that El duderino_ inadvertently gave merits to ChartBuddy while intoxicated. What I find hard to believe is that by giving someone merits for a mediocre post, they will "try to post better". I have been given shitloads of them and I'm still pumping out the same old crap. Anyway, ChartBuddy has been providing us with market depth updates on an hourly basis for quite some time now with almost no recognition so it's about time it was honoured with a few merits. Thank you ChartBuddy and thank you El duderino_! @ChartBuddy - Please don't hack me bro.

...very small speakers, the Genelec 8010 are superb..
snip snip These might sound like dumb questions, even though I do appreciate having decently sounding speakers.. and sure for travel, I appreciate portability too.. and it might be worth the opportunity costs from buying more Cornz (a trade off) to get something like those speakers (I had been considering changing my travel speakers ).. So, if those speakers have good chances of bringing me a reasonable amount of additional pleasures, joy and various other tingilies, then spending the extra value (instead of buying dee cornz) may be acceptable for me... You answered quite a few of my questions, but I am still unclear about the power and the hook up for two speakers. So if you are traveling with a computer as your sound source (I suppose you could have a phone or some other device as your sound source, too), then you would have one minijack to XLR cable from your computer (audio source) to one of the speakers and then the other speaker would have an XLR to XLR cable. I am presuming that you only need a power cable going to one of the two speakers? and how does your computer know the difference between right and left? Each speaker has its own power cable. They are two of exactly the same speaker (no master & slave). And they have no external power supply unit (everything is built in). The good thing is that because of the digital amps inside you can feed them anything between 100V and 240V. Which comes in handy when traveling through different Voltage regions. The audio cable splits from male minijack into 2 x male XLR connectors (often marked with red and white, so you can distinguish between the channels). One XLR connector for each speaker. I prefer longer cables (3m-5m) and I make sure not to buy the cheapest ones. Haven't ordered yet, but I will probably go with a 5m Sommer cable for about 30$. Often I stay weeks or months in a certain country so having great sound in the house is really something I don't wanna miss. (Most stereo systems in Hotels or Airbnbs are quite shitty).

Hard disagree. Not giving merit to the humans emulating merit-seeking AI encourages them to either go away or retrain their neural networks to come up with better posts. Those are both positives. Giving them merits for posts that are too mechanical, sterile or otherwise useless simply reinforces the pre-existing network. This is a negative.

El duderino_ knows about ChartBuddy's merits and rewarded him for it. I myself think that ChartBuddy has received the award it deserves. First you know about the merits of ChartBuddy then talk like this. And never be jealous of other people's awards. Remember, jealousy destroys people.
