If you invested $1,000, 10 years ago: Google: $5,000 Facebook: $6,000 Amazon: $7,500 Tesla: $25,000 Bitcoin: $44,000 BMshow us dec 2017 to dec 2023 btc is 19 to 43 so 1000 would be around 2300 google facebook amazon tesla do the math bro or better do btc dec 2012 to dec 2023 10 dollars to 43000 or 1,000 to 4,300,000 so btc is godlike 2012 to 2023 and great 2013 to 2023 and good 2017 to 2023 btc 19.5k dec 2017 44.1k dec 2023 edit : google 53 dec 2017 140 dec 2023 that beats BTC Facebook 176 dec 2017 350 dec 2023 just loses to btc amazon 59 dec 2017 145 dec 2023 that beats BTC Tesla 20 dec 2017 241 dec 2023 that beats BTC Tesla is best dec 2017 to dec 2023 yea, you can always found more favorable dates (I always look at 5-10 years, in this case 8 years): bitcoin $284 July 2015 to $44150 Dec 2023 155X NVDA $4.9 July 2015 to $489 Dec 2023 100X TL;DR both bitcoin and Nvidia had more than 100X in the last 8 years (in both cases starting that period with more than a $billion valuation). If you cherry pick against BTC how about: 19.5 k dec 2017 to 15.9k nov 2022 the 19.5 k dec 2017 to 44k dec 2023 is +14.5% which is a better rate than inflation. but if Jan bring no EFT and we drop to 28k BTC looks weak and if EFT comes and we hit a new ATH in feb at 77,777.77 seven sevens would be a cool new ATH then BTC looks really good. Meanwhile my mining payouts are at about 140% of a block vs 98 or 99% of a block so for me BTC is 1.4 x 44,000 = 61,600 not 44,000. these payouts could last as large miners have a new incentive to jack them. Last 2 months is remarkable

It’s hard not to take notice of altcoins absolutely ripping right now. It seems a little early in the cycle to be seeing altcoin season but here it is… I wonder if the newfound wealth these holders of alts are seeing will help be a catalyst for Bitcoin’s advance when they move profits into BTC from other cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin is having a nice run but with its mempool issues currently you can really see the effect on higher throughput blockchains. Solana and ADA seem to be crushing it as a result. I hope Bitcoin can get this figured out. It is way too early in the cycle to be having these issues. Makes you wonder who these people are making transactions currently.
How is it possible you have been here this long and not got it yet? Bitcoin fees are going to just get higher, along with price, along with the size of the transactions, both in bytes as well as value. There is no other way for it to work. Transactions are going to use different tech with different tradeoffs. And yes the different tech can just be LTC or ETH. But that is like using a shop vac to empty your home vacuum cleaner. Then taking the shop vac to the car wash and using one of theirs to empty it. We are not solving the "problem" we are kicking the can down the road. Luckily it's not a problem. It's a feature. One that enables decentralized freedom money.

I have used some XMR and LTC recently ( which were quite fast and cheap), it is almost impossible to move btc now. Curiously, those coins are not performing well... I bet you 5 BTC I can move any amount of BTC on chain with absolutely no problems, most likely in the next block. Choose your words more carefully.
