Same. Weird that there doesn't seem to be any news that would cause such a dump.
~snip~

Maybe some will not agree, but if someone who has close to 200 000 BTC says that he will sell the shares of his company, some may have interpreted it in their own way. Saylor usually has no influence on the BTC price when he buys, but people obviously react very negatively when someone like him sells even shares in his own company.

The talent Jim Cramer has to be so incorrect so often cannot be ignored. I wonder at this point if he says things like this to manipulate his trade or if he really is the worst investment analyst of all time. His calls are so terrible it makes me think it has to go deeper than him just being the absolute worst at his job. It has to be manipulation.

It's not talent he has, it's insider trading knowledge.

What he tells the public to do or not do, does not match what he himself does in private.

I'm convinced that he has been controlled opposition for some long time now, luring Average Joe n00b investors into eventual losing strategies and trades, causing them to buy the wrong thing and hold, buy the right thing at the wrong time, or sell the right thing too early.

He's a tool for TPTB to keep people confused and poor, so that they continue working their entire adult lives and pay taxes.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see a bunch of suckers/tarders got themselves long squeezed overnight. Will they never learn? Leverage isn't a tool. It's a weapon, mostly for suicide.

Meanwhile we're still well up on the year. We've already barted halfway back up from this morning's little episode.

Standard. Same old, same old.

One bitcoin is still worth 100M satoshis.

For every loser there's still a winner. Actually there are a lot more losers than winners, just as there are a lot more casinos than gamblers. It's the winnings and losses that are equal.

Go Bitcoin go.

Overall 2023 was a satisfactory year, if you are seeing it from the perspective of bitcoin price.

5 more "satisfactory" years and btc is at about 500K  Grin

Why aim for 5 years? When bitcoin has capability to reach 500k in 2 to 3 years.

We also had a correction in which the BTC price got down to 35% below the 200-week moving average, and even though we did not stay at those max levels, we did spend quite a bit of time below the 200-week moving average between around  June 2022 until as late as October 2023.. and yeah, maybe the 200-week moving average is a bit of an artificial line in the sand.. but still it was historically significant in terms of a kind of level of "not being normal."

Thanks to Bitmver project https://bitcoindata.science/withdrawal-strategy , now we can have quick comparison of Bitcoin 200 week moving average vs its price.
You are right that from June 2022 to Oct 2023, price of Bitcoin was below its 200 week moving average.
For long term investors these indicators do make sense.

O/T Rant:

Was looking at buying a sports car for a bit of fun.
I had no idea road tax vehicle tax rules had become so complicated here in the UK until I spoke with the dealer today.

Who the fuck comes up with such a stupid system?
"Conservatives" my ass.

You pay a premium for the first year based on emissions, then a standard rate for subsequent years.
BUT if your car costs more than 40K (almost all nice cars now do), you have to pay an additional premium on top of the standard rate for the first 5 years,
but that first 5 years is counted from the second year onwards, not the first.

Also, this is only if you buy a new car, for older cars there are different rules and you may only pay a flat rate.

Moreover, all such tax thresholds have stayed put whilst the governments and central banks fucked us all in the ass with 25% inflation.

Finally, this system is completely whacked as nowhere where you buy a car does it clearly state the first 6 years of tax, it just gives you the hints I described above.
YET, the government will know fine well what the tax of your vehicle is since it sends you a renewal, so why can I not look up that same amount by an existing registration?
Fuck em.

Only election vote option: None of the above!

Yeah seriously, fuck that guy.

There is a YouTube video from 2013 (that I can't find now, probably been scrubbed) where a random guy asks him if Bitcoin is a good investment, to which Jim Cramer replies "No, absolutely not!"

FUCK FUCK THAT GUY.

Bald man says: like gold
Technological breakthrough
Some credit is due.

#haiku

Oh I see the bald man
Jim Cramer supported Bitcoin and ETF
Maybe we should hope for me positive vibes from him
My fellow bald men 😂

This thing you can't kill it...Bitcoin
The late Charles Munger who was so brilliant
on many things was blind to this.
It's a technological marvel and I think people have to start recognizing that it's here to stay!

Quoted...Jim Cramer

Why? Because it seems so to me, all things considered.

Please remind me when bitcoin gets to 500K in 2-3 years (that would be January 2026-January 2027).

I feel the mindtrust (no relation, of course) vibes here...he also was sooooo bullish.

I think for cars below 2017 you may have to pay lesser based on the current tax band system.

yea, 67 is now a full SocSec age....used to be 65, but then they changed to something weird (for most: some years plus months, but for people born after 1960-67 years exactly).
I still have a few years to go, but for people approaching the date and still working the question is: do i take it at full retirement age (FRA, like 67 or slightly less ) or at 70. More money at 70 (as much as 24% more), but you miss out on 3 years when you could have used the cash to, for example, invest in something like bitcoin, property, etc. Considering that SocSec would have some kind of "crisis" by 2033-2035 (with a potential 20-23% cut), maybe it literally pays to take it at FRA.
