Some people are saying that Bitcoin will cross 100k at the end of April. I think it is not going pump again so soon. What do you guys think about this??? It will follow the natural trend... infinite high..... up to 300K 2025 or end of party, BTC = 0.000000001 USD. lol The reality is: impossible to know.

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

Another ATH and another chance for Coinbase to play games again. Why people keep using that exchange is beyond me. Good news is, eventually we will smash through that ATH and keep going, just a matter of time!

I saw the 70000 ATH, it didn't last long. Funnily enough on Kraken at least it also made a round number in euros : 64000. Half of it is stuck in a company investment vehicle for 5 years unless I buy a home so no BTC with that (until there is an ETF in Europe I guess).
An ETF in Europe is never happening. There are rules about diversification in ETFs, so the best you can hope for is a mixed crypto thingy, possibly with stocks thrown in besides all kinds of shitcoin. Even so, the ECB is particularly vocal about crypto being bad for you (but mainly for them, I'd say). I wouldn't hold my breath. There are several ETPs though. Is that a possiblity? Thanks for the comment, I took a quick look but the funds available are limited and chosen by my company on ESG grounds, so no luck. In fact I'm not invested in any of these, I just keep it all in my company's stock.

Good morning Bitcoinland. A lovely ATH. Slow coming though. Had to wait 3 whole days since the last one. Of course we got the standard long squeeze and fiat-taking. No problem. Going back up. As we surge up through the $7xxxx range will retail fomo finally start to kick in? Love the updated format with historical dates. Let's see how fast we make this chart obsolete.

"Dark Brandon" is scaring people. People who save money are fleeing into BTC and gold. Both have hit ATHs today, right after his SOTU.
Silver and ammo next?
Or whatever drug cocktail he was on last night...

Let's not make this forum about local politics, eh? We would never know where to stop. I think that we are really lucky in US to not have punitive taxation yet, but at some point it may come, in one way or another. Deficit growth is currently unsustainable and, I believe, bipartisan measures, including higher taxes and maybe even some reduction in entitlements (despite protestations to the contrary), will be taken to at least cut it down.

OK, my point was made, I will comply with your request from here on. My larger point is that the ride will be very bumpy ahead. Buckle up.

Let's see how fast we make this chart obsolete. if we are 88k at the ½ ing we will be full on fomo as miners will not have to take the hit they normally take at the 1/2 ings. we also would have no gear supply chain shortages. we may see the greatest year ever for gear going on line. I sold a tiny piece at 69.8k today I will be selling a very small piece at 70.7k and a small piece at 77.7k

Would be cool if this was pinned on the site. Pin homer on the site? That is not very nice of you to have those kinds of thoughts and to refer to homer as a "this." #justsayingLol, see you can make interesting short posts. That's what "we" like to say. "Anything is possible." almostThat is not very nice of you to have those kinds of thoughts and to refer to homer as a "this."
One never knows with pronouns these days. At least "this" is singular. "This" is much better than referring to a singular as a "they". I find that irritating too... even though I am more or less accepting of the royal "we" especially if it is used in knowing ways rather than without thinking about it. BlackRock has stated that the optimal Bitcoin allocation is 84.9% of a portfolio. Of course, few will do this, but we now have the world's biggest fund manager telling investors to get off zero.
Yeah.. this is an amazing number (84.9%). I am not opposed to it when the asset grows into it, but I am still sticking with the idea of 5% to 25% initial allocation, so maybe then the next part would be to ONLY reallocate once it gets above 84.9%.. which might be a bit more reasonable, but even with that it still seems a bit too much of an allocation, even with the idea of letting your winners run, even though I am probably near if not over that number right now... but largely I only started with 13.5% as my own initial investment and my investment seems to have grown and/or gotten close to 84.9% and/or higher numbers at various points in time, but I never really reallocated in any meaningful way, since there had even been times that I had gotten close to 90% thresholds that were probably around historical bitcoin tops 2021, and I think in 2017, I had ONLY gotten to around 80%-ish... I am probably close to 90% now, even though I have not gotten into specific calculations, recently since sometimes it can take a bit of time to get a somewhat updated ballpark idea. Actually, now that I am talking through this, I am thinking that I might have to switch some of my valuation over to my valuation that is based on the 200-WMA rather than to valuate based on BTC spot price, so that I could be more consistent with my recent lecturings/advocacy on the valuation topic.. that may well bring my allocation valuation down to around mid-70%s rather than upper 80%s.. I might have to do that..

Is that the Lambo of fridges ? I've checked and even found a 25K one, and it wasn't anything fancy.
