And people are supposed to be excited about AI because ?

What gets me is some pundits are talking about how we'll need vastly increased energy production to run all the AI we'll need. My question is what material benefit is AI providing for all this energy use? Steam/electricity and computers/internet allowed for huge productivity gains but it seems like AI might just make a load of people redundant. Of course, there's a good chance it will provide benefits we can't even imagine but there's a good chance things are about to get dicey.

Rocket High
Then Crashes for coffee cash
HODL for dear life..!

Read somewhere...

If you use the expression "HODL for dear life", then you have been too much influenced by mainstream ideas, and perhaps even you don't understand the difference between bitcoin and crypto (aka shitcoins).

Did you happen to know that bitcoin has been amongst the best of investments for the past 10-13 years?  and did you happen to know that bitcoin's investment thesis has not been getting any weaker, even if the steepness of bitcoin's upside curve (slope) might not be as great (exponential) as it was 13 years ago, while at the same time, its risk of going to zero seems to be quite a bit less than it had been previously, too.

So, rather than getting worked up about bitcoin and believing that you have a highly volatile asset (which is not completely untrue), you should make sure that you figure out a BTC position size that helps you to NOT feel as if you were engaging in a lot of downside risk...

I am surely not against proclaiming that the most that any of us can lose is 100%, so the most that we should be willing to invest into bitcoin and/or to keep into bitcoin is an amount that we are willing to lose, yet still the downside scenarios are not as likely and/or evenly distributed as the upside scenarios, yet you are still going to have to figure out what amount of a position size that you are ready, willing and able to take without becoming overly emotional about it... so you can continue to invest into bitcoin and to study it in order to gain confidence, and surely some folks do start to shave profits off along the way so that they are not so concerned about if bitcoin ends up going to zero..

...yet each person has to figure out his own personal balance, in order to understand and appreciate that when he buys bitcoin he is investing into a pristine asset that many shitcoins like to affinity scam (market themselves as being the same, similar or better), yet bitcoin is not the tail, but instead bitcoin is the dog.. so surely there are a lot of folks who can't really figure out that bitcoin is the dog and not the tail.. . which maybe means that more studying is required. .even to come to appreciate that even though bitcoin has number go up technology built into its design, bitcoin is not ONLY number go up technology, there are other aspects of bitcoin that both makes it valuable while at the same time contributing to its number going up inspite of what certain powers that be, biticoin naysayers, shitcoin pumpeners, no coiners and/or fence sitters would like to be the case with bitcoin.

Well September is over, and according to my maths Blackrock alone managed to accumulate almost BTC9k (8.934) in September. Which is around 66% of all BTC created in September (13.500), and this was their low month. Together Blackrock with Fidelity sucked up 101% of all BTC created in September (13.717). How they manage to pull this off under the radar is quiet astonishing. Tic toc...
