Meanwhile, I've been reading news about bitcoin, and the amount of crapto shilling is annoying. It's hard to find an article that doesn't feel the need to sneak ethereum or solana or whatever the choice piece of crap after a cursory "bitcoin could go up or down" remark.

I took the liberty of translating an excerpt from a piece of news by a simple find and replace operation.

bitcoin -> bitcoin (unchanged)
altcoin -> shitcoin
ethereum -> bigger shitcoin OR biggest shitcoin (depending on context)
solana -> new popular shitcoin OR recent starlet shitcoin OR similar
crypto -> bitcoin and shitcoin

Here's the result. Ironically, the outlet is named "Newsbtc".

Yeah here is how I look at it.

Canada = too hard to take over

Mexico = harder to take over.

but

Greenland = pretty easy

Just the Panama Canal = pretty easy .


So my gut is he says Canada
and he says Mexico

but he wants Greenland and the canal


the canal could be argued the treaty Jimmy Carter did voiding the original treaty was not legal and it still belongs to the USA under the terms of the 1899 -1910 treaty arrangements. (can't remember the actual date of the first agreement but it was stated to be in perpetuity which means for the rest of the existence of the canal.

Greenland has real value if the world is going to melt the ice.

and Russia can not be stopped from melting the ice

so owning Greenland vs a weak non nuclear country like Denmark is a big priority.

The USA could over pay for it.

So maybe Greenland becomes the 51st state and not Canada .  After all Greenland only has around 56000 people on it. Canada has millions as does Mexico.

So I think Trump or like I say the musky trumpeter wants Greenland and Panama Canal

We will see how this unfolds.

If the price is reached prior to 2026, such as if the BTC price goes below $90k, then the bet would close at that time, and I am a little bit uncomfortable entering a bet in which I have to describe the terms, since you might want to clarify that you actually understand what a 10-1 bet would mean, as I had outlined it.  Of course, we would not need to bet on 10-1 odds, and we could bet other odds or other conditions....but yeah, for you to win, then we would need to have some thing on the other end, and earlier you posted a claim that we are "never" going below $90k ever again.. but now you want to change it to one month or something like that?  That was not what you said in your first post.

Dear JJG, so you are very serious in testing my prediction that Bitcoin won't go below 90k$.

Well to be honest, till date I have never placed a bet and if you are interested in knowing why then I can tell you reason for that also. So you have to take the pain of telling me terms first.

Coming to your point, by 10-1 bet means if we placed a bet of 10$ then if you win you will get 110$ and if I win i will get only 10$. Correct me if I am wrong.

It's interesting re Greenland vs Iceland names.
Greenland is currently mostly covered by ice, but Iceland is at least partially green.
Why the name though? It is because Greenland was discovered in 982, smack in the middle of the MWP (medieval warm period) that lasted roughly from 800-1250 with the warmest time during 950-1045. So, Erik the Red just got lucky with his timing
