#HODL In a nutshell.

Is it only my impression or does Bitcoin hold up quite well while stonks are tanking a few percent?
Didn't pay much attention lately, being busy.

I see the world has been very busy right now with Trump's tariffs, but wait a minute, isn't this positive?

I'm telling you something, we live in a corrupt monetary system The only thing that's real and not fake or corrupt is BTC  Who agrees with me?

Now, for me, above all, we need to Apply the DCA method to its fullest extent.

The only assets that are worth anything to me are BTC and gold.

Of all this, what makes us all the saddest?

BTC falling, because many of us believe and know that BTC is the solution to the economy's problems Can we expect a drop these days? We can't hide the sun with a finger. And yes, some investors are skeptical of the current economy And when all the storm is over, will we see a truly strong BTC, perhaps above $90,000?

Let's look at this little light on the path:

Quote
Interestingly, Satoshi’s supposed 50th birthday celebration coincides with a notable sell-off in Bitcoin’s price. Bitcoin has slumped approximately 6% since President Donald Trump unveiled reciprocal tariffs on Wednesday evening that led to a $5 trillion U.S. equities bloodbath. Despite this setback, Bitcoin has transcended its enigmatic origins to ascend to notoriety with a staggering market capitalization of $1.6 trillion as of publication time.

It’s worth mentioning that Nakamoto’s 50th birthday comes roughly a month after President Trump signed an executive order establishing a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and a Digital Asset Stockpile, marking the first huge step toward integrating Bitcoin into the US financial system.

Bukele was the first president to pave the right path by Adopting BTC, now the USA is reaffirming it, it is logical that they attack BTC now, you just have to hold on , hold on, buy BTC.

Looks like Bitcoin and the entire crypto market are preparing themselves for tomorrow. Most analysts are calling for one of the worst investment days ever tomorrow. Will they be right? Probably, but time will tell. I personally look at times like this as an opportunity to grab stocks that I’ve been wanting to own, but the short term pain is undeniable.

OT — So, my nephew got me this present. Out of the blue, no birthday or anything. How sweet is that? Good kid.

Elgato Stream Deck Neo

Eight customizable buttons, each one has a little color screen behind it, showing graphics, icons, symbols, etc. Can launch apps, shortcuts, control media, run scripts, etc. Also shows date/time and can change profiles, and each profile can have hierarchy (sub-sections) with changing button functions. Perfect for productivity.

Should create a Bitcoin profile on it, with buttons to go straight to the WO thread and to Bitstamp. And also show Bitcoin price ticker in real-time.

Great idea.
Would you be able to write a script that is able to save and retrieve the last visited page number, opens the WO thread, passing the information to the URL and opens the thread on the page where you left it last time?
IDK exact ways, but in theory, if the browser is able to inject scripts (developer mode), you could easily refresh a bookmark on every page load and then just call that bookmark from the script that runs after clicking the according stream deck button.

Would be nice. The "Show new replies" seems to not cooperate well with how browsers will reload the page sometimes when a computer is rewoken from sleep. I have taken to clicking on the last-post-I viewed's title which refreshes the page with new stuff but keeps me where I left off.

Lagging issues?  Every.single.time.

I used to think it was only when I posted images but I rarely, if ever, notice a difference now.  It's not just a lag, the forum doesn't properly refresh more often than not and I end up closing the window and opening a new one.  I mostly use the Brave browser.

It's been going on a while. The chartbuddy code has a delay coded specifically to compensate for it and that's years old.

Alright. I am always just refreshing the page (tab) which i kept open in my browser. Well, mostly always. You might want to know that i have hundreds of tabs opened (and restored on restart) in my browser. Don't shoot me, but that's about the general way i tend to organise things. Visible. A bookmark in a menu is saved and forgotten most of the time for months, if not years, and there are multiple bookmarks in my bookmark bar's folder hierarchy, which i created because of needs, not because of cognition.
And yes, this is my ASD, mixed with "mild" ADD. I don't even want to roughly average how many times i edit a message, also before even posting the initial version, until i am "satisfied" with the contents, and most times i'm still not, but i learned to swallow it and just get off editing at some point, or even delete it all. Eventually, i'll try to start over later. Shorter messages tend to work mostly well, though, while re-reading my own post(s) is triggering my "need of editing" too easily. This time it was about four or five times? FML, but i got used to it and i dearly love this life, well - the majority of the time.
I felt like it was time to let y'all know, anyway. Maybe it makes some of you easier to handle the (maybe interesting) OT rubbish i post to the WO every now and then - or more often, sometimes - which i would have been locked out of almost any thread/forum with more strict rules or even kicked off boards for, like it happened on other boards in the past.

(*FINAL EDIT: I looked inside the browsing history, and it revealed that i had edited the post six times. I already forgot what i wanted to edit/add this time, so i force myself to stop re-reading it and let it as it is, slightly compulsively thinking of the delete button)

*EDIT 7: I remembered now, just wanted to add that this isn't the result of some "ASD by internet" tests. I got extensively and officially late-diagnosed by professionals, a few months from two years ago now. It's a real thing and it took me about a year to fully grasp and integrate it.

Back to the point: refreshing works with stored tabs, even if you "like" broswing many opened tabs, but there are naturally some complaints for security reasons by keeping tabs open. In my case, my password strength is the only protection.

Ok, so refreshing an restoring doesn't have to work for every browser, then.
I'm using a standard-type browser, though not one of the Windoze preinstalled ones.

Black Monday Crypto is the newest whale-feeding FUD Grin

That is what is responsible for the current panic.

Although mostly the crash is Trumps fault. The sheer incompetence combined with an ego-maniacal arrogance...

79K is a good price. Over 20% off of 100K Bitcoin. Nice.
