China would be foolish to continue to fight back unless the fight is somehow invisible from US eyes, this is a battle they can't win. Fact is, China took USA manufacturing away from the US consumer so that they could then sell the same products back to them. Without the US consumer China has too few buyers for the manufacturing capacity that they took from the USA and other countries. What they need to do is somehow get domestic consumption up to replace this consumption. Achievable, but it will be slow and will require lots and lots of stimulating the Chinese consumer.

Trump will indeed go to 156% if need be. He won't stop. He is trying to reorganise the USA from a consumer only economy back to a producer and consumer economy like it used to be decades ago. Make America Great Again and all that. A self sufficient economy.

How come the wording?
How did China "take" production capacities "away" from countries?
AFAIR the countries were throwing their capacties at China, weren't they?
Another inconvenient truth: More than 90% of the heavy environmental pollution "Made In China" is caused at sites driven by foreign companies.

China is not quite the bad kid on the block, here.

SO is Trump winning!

"China announces an 84% tariff on US imports, to take effect on Thursday, after Donald Trump imposed a 104% tariff on Chinese goods entering the US"

From the article below:

China did not match the tariff this time.

He may have won the fight, but that doesn't mean he will endure or win the war.
It's expanding vertically at the time, but China and other countries may expand the war horizontally, too.

This argument seems like overly one-sided and unrealistic. China is not at warbwith US, but rather is operating as part of a multifaceted global economic structure. United States, for its own benefit, once shifted its production to other countries, including China, where labor costs and raw materials are lower. Now that they are suffering the negative consequences of that decision, They are blaming China.

China's domestic demand is growing every day and they have been focusing on developing their own market for a long time. China is not anymore only export dependable country. And Trump's imposition of this 156% tariff is foolish because American consumers are not willing to buy products at that price and it is no longer possible for them to produce on that scale.

Finally, it can be said that it is not possible to develop a country like China by putting it in a room with a one-sided tariff or by giving cheap talk. Rather, it would be suicide for them.

It has to be said China on the whole are a lot more intelligent than the average American I really don't think the US will come out on top

Obviously most Americans on this forum are in my opinion well above most of the population in intelligence xx

Sarcastic comments such as "trump is winning" are pretty much lost on this thread.

Personally if Trump wins this battle he decided to do I will be stunned and surprised.

He needs to do the following to win:

Split Russia from China
Melt the icecaps
Grab Greenland.
Stay president for a minimum of 20 years.
Get most of europe on board to isolate China from most of the world markets.

SINCE I PERSONALLY THINK EACH OF THE ABOVE CAN NOT BE DONE.

(Well icecaps will melt but more like 40-60 years.)

For  the record I vote purple. Some Democrats some Republicans .

Pro death penalty
Pro abortion
Pro health care
Anti illegal immigration.
Pro legalize all drugs.

Crush people that fuck up while stoned.

That list above makes me disliked by the left and the right.

I fuck around on m this thread because I know the world is a bout to get shaken up bigly and I still don't have a ship with warp drive to leave it.

Rant over back to BTC

My advice to all is be like jjg and dca.

I ADDED MORE COIN TODAY.

Also  cash can be good as it pays bills and allows the buying of powder. edit

buying of BTC with the powder.

Here's hoping that whatever the fuck Trump is doing gets less fucked up for us all.

We haven't seen the effect of this tariff yet until after few weeks from now. Many people are happy for what Trump is doing but I doubt if it's going to have a huge effect on China.
The America people would suffer this more as time goes on. The price of commodities like groceries and gadgets would start rising making it difficult for an average American worker to be able to meet up with their demands. Let's watch how the game plays!

I think this would create a bigger opportunity for the Americans in the next future but not now because Trump is taking this too personal and its wrong. I hope for a better trade negotiation!

Please, elaborate...i fugured out that too as a big trend, but don't have the details.
Aside of this, it is kind of telling that two sons of T have joined the bitcoin mining company.

The basic idea is that the monetary world is about to undergo a "phase shift" or maybe it is something comparable with the Earth pole shifts...they do happen over some time period that include a chaotic interval...just like now, it seems (in finances and economic alignment).

Two perspectives: is this like an early rise of Christianity or a decay and fall of the Roman empire?

The correct answer is probably ...both... as those periods were coincidental.

I have a bad habit of pontificating vaguely and then not following up.

I do not know what the plan is... but I am guessing it is to do with attempting to lay a new foundation for the US monetary system hegemony if this can even be done.  Stable coins?  Some more clear CDBC?  Some shitcoin issued digital dollar?

Anyway... heres to the Samouria guys getting let loose.

I don’t think either of them are winning. I think it’s a retarded dick measuring contest, instigated by Trump.

They need to stop playing this out in public like a bunch of feuding school girls. This situation needs a level of maturity, they need to sit down like adults in a face to face meeting and make a mutually acceptable deal. They can then both brag to the media about a winning deal, whatever.

This needs sorting because both economies will be hurt by a longstanding feud, no matter what they try and tell us about how they don’t need each other. Also selfishly for us, Bitcoin will not thrive in a macro situation like this. We can puff out our chests and say Bitcoin will become the new world reserve currency and go to $10,000,000 per coin but it’s total BS. Bitcoin is still a speculative (but brilliant) asset, it thrives in periods of certainty. All markets hate uncertainty, we need the US to make deals or this bull market is over.

Hey it has been fun and it was nice to see 109k back in the day.

But It will only get hotter and hotter for a while.

And please understand "winning" if used by me in reference to Trump is merely sarcasm.

I only hope that he does not create a massive disaster as he knocks heads with China and attempts to hurt them at the expense of the entire world.

Congrats to those who bought the dip. Seems like we’re getting a pause in the tariffs after all. Is this Trump backing down or is this just another lesson in the art of the deal? Time will tell, but I’m glad I emptied all the cash I had into the stock market when it was down. Always buy fear and sell greed.

So far.. Trump seems to be on crack and likes to play with fire.

all in all... Biden was far better than this dude that really might push the world in a catastrophic war.

A 90 day pause is just about right for Bitcoin to resume the bull market towards $150.000 - $200.000 range followed by a 30% summer dump with a face melting FOMO pump in Q4 2025.

Bang!

Trump drops tariffs to most of the world to 10% for most countries.  But not China...  BTC and the markets love it.

Will Europe buy all the Chinese stuff if we won't?  Hmm...
