Those leveraged longs waiting for a big price increase on BFX were too tempting a target.
You guys wanted Wall Street, here they are!

Except no one is defending the price. No one is stepping in hard right now. The Silk Road crash bounced back up hard.

To me, reading discussions of Monero and other anonymous coins on this public forum feels like watching a TV class on how to dig a tunnel into a building without being caught, or how to turn off all the security cameras in a bank by hacking into its network. Does anyone else have a vague feeling of surreality, too?

It might take a few weeks to get there, but we will. 2011 all over again, baby. $200 isn't happening but we might see $300s again. I'm currently holding my breath for those! My buddy has a nice buy set for $490 to rebuy the coins he sold at $590 that's a great profit! Almost there.

Except no one is defending the price. No one is stepping in hard right now. The Silk Road crash bounced back up hard. The market has conditioned everyone for months to be cautious on a price rise, because someone will slam it right back down with a huge sell. After a few big buys move the price up, watch how slow bids fill in to the new price. I have watched $4-5 spreads last 30 minutes, especially in the 620-630 and 560-590 ranges. Gun shy.

I'm a buyer at $535, $518 and $504.
Stop loss at $441.
I'm happy with those trades at the moment. I'd like to see us finish the week at $520.

My goodness the drivel on this thread is remarkable. It reminds me why I left.
So why don't you contribute something then? Did, earlier today. Rather interesting paper on anonymity in the context of Risto switching his affections to Monero. Point was that Monero suffers from unsustainable blockchain bloat and until they fix it, it can't go anywhere. Teleport seems to offer a new approach to anonymity that avoids the problems of ring signatures and mixing. Asked for feedback since privacy is a big deal and the coin that nails it will do well. No one gave any. Precisely. People here respond to drivel, but not to pertinent, insightful, intriguing or important thoughts. Would take too much work

Back down to $500. Anyone buying up these "cheap coins"? Yes. I'll buy more if it drops again. I'm far from a whale, but I do have dry powder and this is a buying opportunity for anybody who believes in the long-term.
