We must hear some news soon, it's too strong selling without something behind it.

Btc-e is completely mental, 30$ below everyone.
Aren't alway below other exchanges there?

this catastrophic price movement (i am losing a fortune)
The price now is what the price was in May, and about 4x what it was a year ago, and 40x what it was 2 years ago.

What are you doing so wrong that you're losing a fortune under these circumstances?

correct. it was only virtual.

 Cheesy

bought way lower than 458, but it still hurts

This.  Where is the news?  Why the sudden dumps?
Why?
Why?
and also, Why?

Two possibilities as far as I can tell.  Massive manipulation or someone got wind of some bad new early.  If you got wind of bad news early why would you insta dump that many btc all at once on two separate exchanges when you had time to slowly unload your position?  And who would dump that much BTC on BTC-e and expect to reliably get fiat in return if someone was cashing out?

So for people who wasn't here in 2011 when the price collapsed 97%.. Well this is your turn. Enjoy! Get out now, seriously. China is leaving, gox is gone (with the fake bots), adoption is at a negative rate. It's over for now folks. Perhaps it will find support in double digit area.

the thing is that BTC will probably survive and maybe even "change the world", but for now it might be just way overpriced at the eyes of traders investors and the masses.

Some people say "the blockchain is understructible", " long term fundamentals are too good", "amazing news lately", but that doesn't change the fact that maybe BTC needs a total "price reset", and it doesn't necessarily mean it will die.

Maybe China pumped and dumped too hard, maybe Markus and Willy (the bots) really had a big impact on BTC price, who the hell knows.

Well good news according to whom? The fact is that the majority of traders doesn't see bitcoin as a currency. So it's irrelevant. It's been in a bubble since 2013, now its finished. This is a normal market reaction to something that was vastly bloated in price and value. The truth is that there is no reason for people to use bitcoin to spend or own (except to make a quick buck).
